Job DescriptionAssociate Director, HR Business PartnerThe Associate Director, HR Business Partner, will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the people strategy for the Human Health Data, Digital and Analytics team and our Manufacturing Division in Pune. This position is responsible for providing strategic HR leadership and guidance, ensuring alignment of HR initiatives with business objectives, and fostering a high-performance culture. The role requires a deep understanding of both the human health data landscape and manufacturing operations, along with a strong focus on talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Partnership:Partner with senior leaders in the Human Health Data, Digital and Analytics team and Manufacturing division to define and implement HR strategies that support business goals and drive organizational effectiveness.Talent Management:Lead talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to ensure the organization has the necessary skills and capabilities to achieve its objectives. Collaborate with managers to identify talent needs and succession planning.Organizational Development:Assess and enhance organizational structure and design to ensure alignment with business priorities. Drive initiatives that promote employee engagement, performance management, and workforce planning.Change Management:Support change management efforts associated with organizational transformations, digital initiatives, and process improvements. Provide guidance to leaders on communication and employee adoption strategies.Employee Relations:Act as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders on HR policies, employee relations issues, and conflict resolution, ensuring a fair and equitable workplace.Data-Driven Insights:Utilize HR analytics to provide insights and recommendations that inform talent strategies and enhance employee experience. Monitor key HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of programs and initiatives.Compliance and Governance:Ensure HR practices are compliant with local labor laws and regulations. Partner with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks associated with employment practices.Leadership Development:Lead initiatives aimed at developing leadership capabilities across the organization, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.QualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant HR certifications preferred.Experience:Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in an HR Business Partner role supporting technical or manufacturing functions;Knowledge:Strong understanding of HR best practices, organizational development, talent management, and labor laws applicable in India.Skills:Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in leveraging data to drive HR initiatives.Ability to navigate and manage complex organizational dynamics and drive change effectively.Proven ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively across functions.Who we are … We are known as Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, New Jersey, USA in the United States and Canada and MSD everywhere else.
