The Eli Lilly and Company Capability Center, India (LCCI) is expanding our Tech@Lilly BU (Information and Digital Solution - formerly IDS) team as part of LCCI’s broader IT strategy, to support current and future application development needs across the enterprise. LCCI is looking for team leaders across diverse areas of the IDS organization including manufacturing, supply chain, Clinical Development, data platforms, analytics, infrastructure, sales and marketing, research and development, and information security.


Project Management and People Leadership Expectations


  • Highly motivated Individual and results-driven to lead and drive strategic AI initiatives within BU-T@L (Sales & Marketing Data Intelligence Team). This role is crucial for driving AI-powered and Automation projects to be delivered with agility and speed, ensuring that they align with business goals and deliver high-quality results. As Lilly USA field solutions leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of AI-related projects, ensuring that deliverables align with business goals.
  • Deliver and implement a standardized framework for communication, project management and execution across capability groups and business-focused teams.
  • Build, deliver and own a quality management framework to increase deliverable quality across stakeholders with a range of tolerances and maturity in working with offshore centres.
  • Manage a team - responsible for staff performance evaluations and management (e.g, disciplinary); training and development; and have authority to hire.
  • Serve as trusted career advisor, and work with Functional Leadership and HR to identify career opportunities for these team members, both systemically (career path development) and with individuals as needed.
  • Develop a pipeline of data, visualization, AI talent and leadership, and contribute to an inclusive community of analytics expert practitioners.

Strategic Growth and Thought Leadership:


  • Integrate working model for analytics capabilities across BI&A teams, and where possible, across other LCCI teams to drive better cross-team resourcing, cross-pollination of best practices and expansion of LCCI capabilities.
  • Interface with GOSO (commercial), Enterprise Data and AADS (Advanced Analytics) groups within Lilly to pull through innovations and best practices that accelerate capability builds and technology adoption, while managing delivery expectations.
  • Network with industry experts and external consultants as needed to develop, test, and implement new approaches and solutions for Lilly USA Sales & Marketing field solutions.

Required Experience:


  • 13 -16 years experience must include the following:
    • 3+ years’ experience leading and managing technology and/or business professionals.
    • 5+ years’ experience managing stakeholder and vendor relationships.
    • Pharma Domain knowledge in Commercial facing applications is needed and especially strong commercial experience would be needed.
    • AWS Cloud Experience or any AI related certifications.
    • Collaborate with operational areas on the selection of the optimal systems to meet business needs, while ensuring security, controls, disaster recovery and business continuity, avoidance of redundancy and general alignment with the IS/IT strategic vision and policies.
    • Manage various projects to their successful completion by interacting with IS staff, operational areas and various other interdisciplinary teams.
    • Hire, coach and strategically lead a team of business systems analysts and developers toward the effective configuration, development, maintenance and support of core systems.
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the operational areas that results in a very positive user experience for the organization.
