Job Description

Job Overview:


The Delivery Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of technology solutions and services to meet business needs. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while managing risks and stakeholder expectations. The Delivery Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless execution across various workstreams and alignment with business objectives.

Software Requirements:


  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid approaches).
  • Proven experience in managing multiple, concurrent projects within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives.
  • Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow or Asana.
  • Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) are preferred.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum)

Overall Responsibilities:


  • Project Management:
    • Plan, execute, and deliver IT projects according to business requirements and timelines.
    • Develop execution plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
    • Manage project scope, risks, and changes, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.
    • Establish clear program governance, including setting up project reporting, risk management, and decision-making frameworks.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and business analysts.
    • Coordinate the work of managers, technical leads, and other team members to ensure consistency in project delivery.
    • Foster a collaborative team environment and provide clear guidance and support.
    • Ensure proper resource management and allocation for projects.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals.
    • Engage with business units to align technology solutions with business needs and priorities.
    • Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Quality and Risk Management:
    • Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
    • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the success of the project and gather feedback for future improvements.
    • Conduct reviews and implement corrective actions to ensure project alignment with the goals.

Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in IT project management with strong development background.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid approaches).
  • Proven experience in managing multiple, concurrent projects within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives.

Experience:


  • 15-18 years of experience in technology and its applications
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • Experience managing development teams and working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with delivering technology projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with code quality assurance and testing

Day-to-Day Activities:


  • Oversee the use of technology and its applications within the organization
  • Meet with stakeholders to discuss requirements and provide technical guidance
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues and ensure the quality of systems and applications
  • Mentor and train junior technology professionals
  • Review and approve changes to technology systems and applications
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate the status of technology projects to senior management

Qualification:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Master's degree in a related field is a plus

  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and manage ambiguity.
