We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Service Desk & DevOps Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a unique blend of technical support expertise and DevOps experience to ensure seamless IT service delivery and operational efficiency. This role involves providing first-level support for IT incidents, managing service requests, and collaborating with the development team to enhance systems, troubleshoot production issues, and implement automation solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


Service Desk Responsibilities:


  • Act as the primary point of contact for end-users reporting IT incidents or service requests.
  • Provide first-line IT support, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Accurately log, categorize, prioritize, and escalate incidents using ITSM tools.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues and ensure timely resolution within SLAs.
  • Monitor, track, and report on service desk performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices for continuous service enhancement.
  • Manage escalations effectively and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL frameworks for incident, problem, and change management.
  • Work within a 24/7 rotational shift pattern, including weekends and holidays.

DevOps Responsibilities:


  • Provide support for cloud-based applications and infrastructure, ensuring availability and reliability.
  • Manage and resolve production and non-production issues/incidents within agreed SLAs.
  • Investigate system logs and performance issues to restore services and provide root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot new software versions across environments (Dev, QA, Production).
  • Collaborate with the development and QA teams to resolve software defects and optimize deployments.
  • Implement automation to reduce manual operational tasks and improve system performance.
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines to enhance deployment efficiency.
  • Provide technical documentation, reports, and dashboards to track system performance and incidents.
  • Ensure system compliance with security and data protection policies.

Key Skills & Competencies:


Technical Skills:


Mandatory:


  • Strong knowledge of ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk) for ticket management and reporting.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, including Azure DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and automation tools.
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure (Windows, Networks, Firewalls, File Shares, DNS, TCP/IP).
  • Experience with Microsoft .Net, C#, ASP.Net Core, WebAPI, and modern web development technologies (ReactJS, HTML).
  • Database knowledge: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, with exposure to MySQL/MongoDB as a plus.
  • Experience in containerization using Docker/Azure Containers.
  • Familiarity with source control tools like Git.
  • System monitoring and performance tuning expertise.

Desired:


  • Experience with Python and Django for automation.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT security best practices.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and GIS systems is an added advantage.

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8–12 years of experience in a combined Service Desk and DevOps role.
  • ITIL v3/v4 Foundation certification is preferred.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Azure DevOps Engineer) would be an added advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
  • Key Deliverables:
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient service desk operations.
  • Effective incident resolution and reduction of recurring technical issues.
  • Drive automation and operational efficiency in DevOps practices.
  • Ensure adherence to SLA and OLA targets for incident and service request management.
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives and process optimization.
