Job Description

This role will be responsible for database administration and sourcing of exchange and contributed data. Working with other staff, begin to own the contributor relationship between The Company and the local exchange, contributor or data supplier for day-to-day operations. Ensuring that relevant information is maintained and delivered in an accurate and timely manner. The position is within Customer Operations – Tech Standards which supports data across the company’s products and services. 


Process and maintain data accurately and in a timely manner onto databases using database and financial knowledge Ensure data accuracy, timeliness and completeness are maintained as per company standards Support specific projects, as assigned by manager.                                                                  


Developing expertise in database and financial knowledge through continuous learning and development. Build up knowledge of financial regulations and market practices/conventions in relevant markets.


Maximize usage of available tools/support to best of advantage to maintain/improve content quality during daily operations.                           


Adhere to dynamic process/Mow changes, data operations standards and current data policies & procedures.                                         


Responsible for delivering high productivity and quality data as per expected performance standards.                                                   


Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve data problems.                                                        


Communicate & liaise with internal and external departments for resolution of data queries as per established process.                                  


Test new database/application releases where appropriate, providing expert user feedback.                                                                                                                                       


COMPETENCIES 


Ability to work in a time sensitive environment with a keen eye for detail good understanding of financial markets & accounting concepts Should and be able to interpret the correlation between financial statements and know what these statements mean, what all components do they have etc Should be a very quick learner and should display high level of agility.                                    


Excellent Written and Oral Communication skills                                                                              


Should be able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and flexible to work extended hours depending upon business requirements.        


Good knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word & Power-point Should be a very quick learner and should display high level of agility 


EDUCATION   


• Master/bachelor’s degree in commerce or business management.

The Content Analyst would be responsible for maintaining and sourcing of exchange and contributed data. Working with other staff, begin to own the contributor relationship between Refinitiv and the local exchange, contributor or data supplier for day-to-day operations. Ensuring that relevant information is maintained and delivered in an accurate and timely manner. The position is within Content Operations, which supports data across Refinitiv products and services. Sourcing filings from stock exchanges, regulatory bodies, third party providers and company websites. Analysts are required to provide metadata manually with value added information and store filings in database. Monitoring and maintaining real-time and historical filings for Japan and other markets by adhering to all quality & compliance requirements. Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:


  • Researching on the Company financial documents
  • Ensure required company financial documents are acquired on time
  • Ensure all metadata are updated for financial documents acquired
  • Track all company documents (Financial and non-financial documents) via stock exchanges, company websites and other sources
  • Process and maintain data accurately and in a timely manner onto databases using technical and financial knowledge.
  • Contact Companies/Stock Exchange to get required financial documents
  • Communicate & liaise with internal and external vendors/departments for resolution of data queries.
  • Developing expertise in data related issues. Build up knowledge of financial regulations and market practices/conventions in relevant markets.

TECHNICAL / PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Effectively communicate both internally & externally. Should be able to work under pressure. There would be a need to over-stretch during the busy season to manage volumes. Strong understanding of Financial Markets/ NEWS / Current happenings and detail oriented. Awareness of news and general knowledge is beneficial Excellent attention to details, eager to learn new things and multitasking. Basic computer knowledge is mandatory, such as Microsoft Office. Has Strong knowledge of dataset, product and data flow. Bachelor’s degree required. Flexibility with 24/5 shifts Knowledge & Skill:


  • Entry level professional roles requiring a discipline specific degree or the equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts
