The Role: Associate Channel Manager / Channel Manager - Asia


The Associate Channel Manager will lead the strategic and tactical management of SPGCI’s Channel Partners across the ASEAN, India, and Oceania regions. This role will focus on maximizing sales growth and market penetration by driving incremental revenue through established Channel Partners, as well as identifying and onboarding new partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering strong relationships, aligning partner sales resources, and driving sales engagement through joint go-to-market initiatives. The Associate Channel Manager will play a key role in ensuring that SPGCI’s commercial strategies are well-executed through the partner ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities:


Channel Strategy & Revenue Growth:


  • Achieve or exceed sales quotas and revenue goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive regional Channel Partner sales and marketing strategy to maximize revenue.


  • Drive new business opportunities and incremental revenue by leveraging the strengths of Channel Partners and aligning SPGCI’s sales teams with partner sales resources.


  • Work closely with Channel Partners and APAC SPGCI sales and marketing leaders to develop and execute joint Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies, with a focus on penetrating the associated verticals.


  • Organize joint marketing and sales initiatives such as campaigns, webinars, and events to drive engagement and sales growth.


  • Monitor and manage partner performance, including sales targets, training milestones, and overall partner engagement.


Internal stakeholder and Channel Partner Relationship Management:


  • Act as the primary point of contact for Channel Partners, providing guidance, support, and escalation resolution.


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partner stakeholders at all levels, including sales, marketing, finance, and executive teams, to ensure alignment with SPGCI’s business goals.


  • Manage partner-related issues such as sales conflicts or market competition while maintaining a healthy partner relationship dynamic.


  • Drive collaboration between SPGCI and Channel Partners on sales campaigns, demand generation, and market development activities to boost product awareness and market share.


  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders – Sales, Channel Marketing, Channel Operation and counterparts in other regions for a successful global channel strategy execution into APAC.


New Channel Partner Onboarding & Enablement:


  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new Channel Partners and sales agents to expand SPGCI’s distribution and sales footprint in key markets under the company’s Omni-Channel distribution strategy.


  • Collaborate with sales leadership and prospective partners to develop business presentation and proposals and secure necessary leadership approvals for new partner onboarding.


  • Provide comprehensive onboarding and training programs to ensure new partners are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to effectively sell SPGCI’s offerings.


Other Responsibilities:


  • Represent SPGCI and its product portfolio at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build brand awareness and engage potential partners.


  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of SPGCI products, technical offerings, and the energy market


  • Support the development of Graduates and contribute to knowledge sharing within the channel management function.


Qualifications:


  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve partner conflicts and drive results.


  • Firm with decision making and strong desires and ability for continuous learning and adapt to deliver.


  • Proven experience in channel management, business development, or sales in the commodity, energy, and technology or related industries.


  • Strong knowledge of the commodity sector, with an understanding of how products are marketed and sold through various distribution channels. 


  • Experience working with cloud providers (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS) is highly preferred.


  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives and stakeholders at partner organizations.


  • Fresh graduate of Computer Science or relevant technology and energy courses are highly encouraged to apply.


  • Candidates with strong technical / technology background is desired.


  • Ability to travel regionally as required to support partners and drive sales growth. (At least 1-2x per quarter.)
