JOB PURPOSE:


The QA Engineer is responsible for planning and executing the testing development through to the automation of Integration and End-to-End Service regression scripts for EMS UKI projects.


With demonstrable experience (preferably with a background working with data), the QA Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of successful projects and programs via a testing focus for the end client. The role requires someone with strategic thinking but with the drive to continue hands-on testing activities when required. This includes coordinating deliveries of all automated testing for continuous improvement and automated regression.


Help promote Experian-wide quality standards and policies and provide options for corrective action plans for them, as well as assist testing with troubleshooting any errors and streamline testing procedures.


Skilled in creating documents like instruction guides, procedure guides, specification reports, operation manuals, technical reports, and maintenance documents based on your in-depth understanding of the system gained through its comprehensive testing.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


· Plan, support, and deliver the Regression and Integration EMS test activities.


· Review and input into building Automated Regression Framework (including input and agreement of success criteria).


· Support activities of test resources (manual and automated) including regression testing.


· Prepare and implement Integration Test Plans.


· Support Testing Delivery Planning, Automation, Integration, and Performance EMS resources and plans.


· Prepare NFT test plans (identifying automated reuse and test cases where applicable) for assigned projects.


· Work with development teams to manage defects and facilitate defect triage (currently proposed using the JIRA Toolset).


· Design, develop, and review Automation test scripts.


· Produce EMS Regression Test Completion Reports.


· Review and support sign-off of EMS testing for submission of certification, handing over to Release stages.


· Provide first-line support and escalation for Regression.


· Innovate in testing areas using AI to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.


· Work on various projects across EMS, ensuring flexibility and adaptability to different project requirements.


· Apply agile methodologies and processes to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.


· Take individual responsibility for assigned tasks and deliverables.


· Experience in automating testing processes on Linux servers.


  • · Automated testing and development tooling experience with tools such as Test Data generators (SDV, Faker), Test Management (ALM, JIRA), Test Development (Java, Python, Selenium, UFT, Pytest, Pyspark, CI/CD Integrations), GitHub, Bitbucket, SQL, Insomnia, API testing tools.
  • · Experience with open-source test tools such as Selenium, Appium and Reporting tools (Extent Reports, Loggers etc.,).
  • · Planning and management of all In Sprint outputs and code deliveries into the Test Phases during the assigned projects.
  • · Formulation and implementation of the Integration Test Plan (including creation and agreement of success criteria).
  • · Planning and Management of Automated testing for Integration and Regression Test Phases in assigned projects.
  • · Formulation and implementation of automation Framework (including rules, standards, and best practices).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in software testing or a similar role.
  • Proven ability to design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Strong understanding of various testing methodologies (e.g., manual, automated, performance).
  • Experience with testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Experience in a customer-facing role is a plus.
