Associate Application Developer – Salesforce (SFDC)
Location: Bangalore - India
General Purpose We are looking to hire an Associate Salesforce Developer, with excellent technical and communication skills, to effectively collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop functionality and enhancements. Duties will include coding, scripting, configuration and troubleshooting of Visual Force and its related technologies as listed below. The Associate Application Developer will also field and resolve usage issues and perform other duties as assigned, that are in line with the role’s responsibilities and are required for the business. This role transcends organizational and geographical boundaries as it aims at supporting and enabling the various divisions of the Herman Miller business across the globe. The ideal candidate should understand the software development lifecycle and use agile methodology to design, develop, test and implement solutions that deliver on end-user needs.
Responsibilities
• Develop, implement and maintain Salesforce customizations, applications, extensions and integrations.
• Develop applications using Visualforce, Lightning component framework, JavaScript and Apex.
• Ensure availability of the Force.com platform and provide on-call support to resolve application issues.
• Participate in the planning/analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements.
• Create testing and implementations plans, including user training, UAT and documentation.
• Remain current with Salesforce technologies and best practices. Requirements
• A minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on experience developing on the Force.com platform and its associated technologies in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Experience with Salesforce development/customizations (APEX, Visualforce, Workflows, Lightning, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce configurations such as User setup, security setup, flows, process builder, approval processes, App manager, Case management, entitlements, assignment rules, Sites, queues, reports/dashboards etc. • Experience with JavaScript, XML, JSON, FTP, SOAP, REST. • Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud environment.
• Experience with APIs and integrations.
• Experience with GIT, Relational database preferred
• Integration of Salesforce and NetSuite experience preferred.
• Experience with Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Pardot and Jitterbit a plus.
• Experience working on an Agile development team preferably using SCRUM.
• Experience with software development outside of the Salesforce ecosystem a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) around all key technical decisions during project delivery.
• Ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software and tools currently used in the HMI office environment
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without supervision
• This role will work in the UK shift (12 noon to – 9 pm) but the individual could be requested to work in the US shift on rare occasions to support the business during a critical issue or for any releases/migrations that maybe scheduled. Herman Miller is an equal opportunity employer
