About the Department

Global Finance GBS Bangalore was established in 2007, is currently responsible for supporting Accounting, Finance & Procurement, Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) for Headquarters, region Europe, North America, International Operations (IO) & GBS Bangalore. The main purpose of our existence is to provide superior service to our stakeholders consistently and add value to the processes in terms of standardization and efficiency.

The position
As an Associate Analyst-Finance at Novo Nordisk, you will handle general accounting tasks, including posting of incoming and outgoing payments, cash application, GL postings, invoicing, reconciliations, and month-end closing. Your responsibilities also include the following tasks:

• Support affiliates in the Emerging Markets Region and act as a sparring partner for the Finance GBS Bangalore team.
• Perform key accounting processes such as reporting, review, reconciliation, and ad hoc analysis using SAP.
• Manage general ledger postings, including manual postings, month-end accruals, and bank reconciliations.
• Process intercompany transactions and ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts.
• Participate in projects and initiatives to optimise processes and implement IT systems.
• Provide seamless service delivery and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure qualitative service.
   

Qualifications                                                                                                                                                                                         

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or accounting with 6-12 years of experience in an accounting/finance function within a larger organization.
• Experience with SAP ERP system (FI/CO and SD) and also bank systems, including international transfers and reconciliations.
• Fluent in written and spoken English with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with accounts receivables tasks, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of accounting documentation, Sarbox approach, and audit material.
• Experience working with general ledger accounting in a global company.
• Good to have knowledge in Power BI.
