Job Description

As an Associate within the Alternative Funds Tax Team, you will be part of a dynamic group responsible for global tax reporting for a variety of funds. Based in Mumbai, you will collaborate with a team of experts to ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including the U.S., Europe, and Canada.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Review tax work papers and returns prepared by third-party tax advisors.
  • Prepare tax provisions and discuss technical issues with advisors.
  • Ensure timely receipt of information for tax filings.
  • Answer client tax questions and enhance operational controls.
  • Support new business launches and coordinate with third-party tax advisors.
  • Interact with various teams within JPMorgan, including Corporate Tax, Funds Control, and Legal.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:.


  • 4+ years of partnership tax experience for private equity, hedge, and/or real estate funds.
  • Experience in partnership tax return review.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with automation software (e.g.,Python, Alteryx, Xceptor).

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:


  • Master's in tax and/or CPA preferred
