The opportunity

The Supply and Manufacturing Planning Lead coordinates and optimises supply chain and manufacturing planning activities to ensure efficient production, timely delivery, and alignment with business objectives. This role bridges the gap between demand forecasting, production scheduling, and inventory management.




How you’ll spend your day
  1. Demand Forecasting and Analysis:
  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for pharmaceutical products, incorporating historical data, market trends, product life cycles, and sales inputs.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate changes, new product launches, and regulatory approvals into demand forecasts.
  1. Supply Planning
  • Translate demand forecasts into actionable supply plans that optimize manufacturing, procurement, and Dispatch plan.
  • To follow monthly planning cycle timetable
  1. Monthly MPS and site consensus meeting
  • Lead the planning process to ensure alignment between supply and demand across all functional areas of the organization.
  1. Material Planning and Procurement
  • Develop and execute material requirement plans (MRP) to ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging, and other inputs.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to manage supplier relationships and ensure on-time delivery of materials.
  1. Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure that all supply and demand planning processes comply with regulatory requirements from authorities such as the FDA, EMA
  • Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to manage supply chain impacts from product recalls, regulatory changes, or new market authorizations.
  1. Production Planning Coordination and improvement
  • Work closely with the production team to align manufacturing schedules with demand forecasts and regulatory constraints.
  • Ensure production capacity is utilized efficiently, balancing long lead times and production bottlenecks to meet demand targets.
  1. Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze key supply chain performance metrics such as forecast accuracy, on-time full delivery, and service levels.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on demand and supply planning performance, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions as necessary.


Your experience and qualifications
  1. Experience
  • 15-18 years of experience in end-to-end supply chain planning, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
  • Expertise in demand forecasting, production scheduling, and material planning.
  • Proven track record of using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP ENT, Oracle, Kinaxis).
  1. Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Pharma, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Preferred Advanced degree MBA in Supply Chain, Operation or Equivalent certifications.
