Job Description

Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager Sales is responsible for supporting the Sales Manager in achieving sales targets, developing new business opportunities, and managing client relationships to drive revenue growth for IHG Sector 90, Gurugram. This role involves both strategic planning and hands-on execution, ensuring a seamless guest experience while maximizing hotel occupancy and revenue.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
  - Assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies to meet business objectives.
  - Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  - Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns and sales materials.


2. Business Development:
  - Identify and target potential clients in the corporate, travel, and leisure sectors.
  - Conduct sales calls, presentations, and site visits to prospective clients.
  - Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.


3. Revenue Management:
  - Assist in setting room rates and packages to maximize revenue and occupancy.
  - Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
  - Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.


4. Client Relationship Management:
  - Ensure exceptional service delivery to clients from the initial inquiry through to post-event follow-up.
  - Address client concerns and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
  - Coordinate with other departments (e.g., front office, catering) to ensure smooth execution of events and stays.


5. Team Collaboration and Development:
  - Work closely with the sales team to achieve collective goals.
  - Provide training and support to junior sales staff as needed.
  - Participate in regular sales meetings and contribute to team strategy discussions.


6. Administrative Duties:
  - Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and sales activity logs.
  - Prepare and manage sales contracts and agreements.
  - Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.


Qualifications and Skills:


- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales CRM software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to travel and attend events as needed.
