ROLE PURPOSE


S/he would be responsible for direct on ground execution of the project activities in the project geography. S/he will act as Bal Raksha Bharat’s representative in the communities and district to a broad range of external stakeholders including relevant government departments on issues related to quality programmatic outcomes. S/he will work under the close supervision of the Project Lead to ensure the maintenance of a consistent and coherent strategy in the intervention area. S/he will also be responsible for to maintain cordial relationship with stakeholders at community including mothers, AWWs,


ASHA, School Teachers & community leaders.



SCOPE OF ROLE


Scope:


  • Responsible for day-to-day operation and execute the daily activities on the ground along with other project team members
  • Support in settingup Smart Classrooms and facilitate BLESwork in the intervention schools
  • Responsible for conducting awareness sessions on Health& Nutrition, WASHin schools and communities
  • Organise meetings to sensitize adolescents & women on Menstrual Hygiene
  • Organise awareness activities on Maternal, New-born, Child and Adolescent health(MNCAH) and government schemes and programmes
  • Formation and strengthening of children’s groupsin schools &communities
  • To conduct regularmeeting with SchoolManagement Committees for overall development of the children
  • Support in growth Monitoring of the Children within the age of 5 years, Children up to 18 years of age and adults would be considered for Body Mass Index (BMI).
  • Ensuring nutrition services and distribution of nutrition Kit (as per the organizational standards) to be distributed to Severe Acute Malnourished & Moderate Acute Malnourished Children and Pregnant women and lactating women on priority basis. Providing support to Pregnant and Lactating mothers to get Mother cards and Govt. Schemes
  • Proper documentation &reporting as perthe BRB standard & as perthe need
  • Work in close co-ordination with Project coordinator/Project Leadto implement plannedactivities.
  • Document periodic progress, case studiesof best practices etc of his/herassigned area and share with the Project


lead.


  • Timely collection and submission of all MIS-related information and data, monthly progress report to the Project lead.
  • Submit work planon a weekly/monthly basis to the Project lead
  • Undertake appropriate additional responsibilities as assigned by the projectlead.

    • Assist in the preparation and coordination of project plansand activities.

    • Assist in the collection, management, and analysis of project data.
    • Ensure accurate and timely dataentry and maintain project databases.
  3. Communication and Reporting
    • Support the preparation of project reportsand documentation.
    • Facilitate communication between project teammembers, stakeholders, and partners.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement
    • Assist in identifying and engaging key stakeholders.
    • Support the organization and coordination of stakeholder meetings and consultations.
  5. Monitoring and Evaluation
    • Assist in monitoring projectactivities and progress.
    • Support the monitoring of project outcomes and the preparation of reports.
  6. Resource Management
    • Assist in managing projectresources, including materials and equipment.
    • Ensure the efficient use of resources and adherence to project budgets.
  7. Logistical Support
    • Organize and manage logistical arrangements for project activities, including workshops, training sessions, and community meetings.
    • Ensure properdocumentation and compliance with organizational policies.
  8. Community Engagement
    • Support community engagement activities, including consultations and awareness campaigns.
    • Work closely with community members to ensure theirparticipation and feedback in project initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Graduate / PostGraduate in SocialWork, Social Sciences or Humanities from a recognized university.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS


  • Fluency in English and Hindi languages is essential.
  • Proficiency in usingcomputer applications suchas MS Word, MS Excel& Power point.
  • Good understanding on Health &Nutrition
  • >3 yearsof experience working with children and community peoplein a reputed NGO

Level 3: Therole holder will have contact withchildren and/or young people either frequently (e.g.,once a week or more) or intensively (e.g.four days in one monthor more or overnight) because they work in programs; or are visiting programs; therefore a police check will be required.
