Part of the Supply Chain family, Procurement is responsible for over 30B Euro of material and services spend globally with more than 60,000 suppliers. Purpose of the Job:


Competitive buying, sustainable sourcing and building purpose-led partnerships for factory warehouses.


Key Accountabilities:


You are expected to Deliver on the key matrices of World class service, Competitive Cost and Sustainable sourcing by  


  • Understanding of complex warehousing operations which are located in remote location next to the factories.


  • Ensure all operations in Warehouses are within the agreed Unilever Safety & Quality Policies.


  • Plan and Optimize Resource Utilization for smooth running of operations.


  • Build and sustain collaborative/ productive relationship with supplier to drive efficiency / productivity & cost savings initiatives.


  • Responsible for End-to-end cost management for the factory warehouse, delivering savings & preparation & maintenance of cost forecasts.


  • Responsible for contract as per Unilever legal requirements to safeguard organizational interest and follow best industry practices.


  • Coordinate with factory teams to ensure that all facilities are compliant to legislation and standards laid out by government & Unilever (Safety + Quality + Security + Environmental)


  • Co-create cost savings strategies with factory team to mechanise the facilities or bring in process improvements, to deliver strategic business objectives.


  • Work with factory operations and Controls team to ensure the operational SOPs are followed and NC’s are resolved within the defined timelines and implement system to avoid re occurrence.


  • Lead and coordinate with multiple teams as required to cover various areas of responsibility.


  • Proven project management, budget and financial control is essential.


  • Handle Crisis situation to support the business requirements and deliver the results at most optimal costs.


  • Identifying and Implementing tools and process to optimize sourcing practices.  


You will work along with multiple Internal and External Stakeholders, key being


  • Unilever Logistics Procurement and Manufacturing Excellence Teams


  • Unilever Factory Team


  • Suppliers  


Travel: The role will involve domestic travel for 10% of the year.


Skills:


An ideal candidate is expected to have.


  • Strong analytical skills


  • Financial analysis and reporting


  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Power Point


  • SAP and Digital sourcing Platforms knowledge (advantage)


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills


  • Fluency in spoken and written English and any Indian language preferable


  • Portfolio Strategy Development


  • Negotiation


  • Strategic Supplier Partnerships


Education and Experiences


  • Degree in Engineering and Preferably a Master of Business Administration in Logistics / Supply Chain / Operations Management.


  • 3-5 Years in Supply Chain operations /warehouse operations / factory operations.


  • Experience in handling local suppliers & excellent understanding of factory operations.


  • Budgeting /Planning and driving cost efficiencies,


  • Relevant Experience in Procurement of Logistics Services and leading complex negotiations.
