Location/Division Specific Information
Assistant Manager Sales – South 2 responsible for a complete range of CCS business covering complete Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
Responsibilities
- Achieve the assigned sales/revenue target for the designated coverage area.
- Establish positive relationships in order to increase sales with targeted clients.
- Develop new business acquisitions & retain and grow the existing customer base.
- Drive the HPLC Columns and Consumable Business along with sample handling and sample preparation portfolio.
- Use research and analytical skills to assemble market data on potential, competition share, etc., and then build short-term strategies to improve Thermo Fisher’s market share.
- Penetrate and provide analytical solutions to Quality Control, R&D, and end-users while establishing relationships with the purchase team.
- Prepare Sales Forecasts, conduct effective trend analysis, and drive achievement. Follow up diligently on leads received from other areas/divisions of the organization.
- Communicate effectively with other members of the Sales Team, Marketing, Application Team, and Operations on segment and client issues.
- Grow profitable sales in the assigned geography using cost-efficient methods.

- Must possess professional selling and presentation skills to influence multiple levels at the customer’s organization.
- Must possess the technical ability to grasp sophisticated product applications.
- Must have excellent negotiation skills to close sales and meet gross profit targets.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to communicate successfully with customers and different levels of internal and external customers.
- Must have analytical skills and intellectual ability to develop ideas, products, and solutions, apply creative thinking, prepare a business plan, and report quantitative data.
- Must have decision-making ability to perceive and evaluate alternatives, analyze the impact of decisions before driving them, and implement decisions with appropriate evidence and rationale.
Job Requirements
- BSc in Chemistry/Life Science or equivalent experience in science.
- 6-8 years of business experience in driving sales for consumable business in the Pharma/Bio-Pharma Market.
- Must be an excellent teammate with a positive approach.
- Must have validated target-achieving skills.
