R&P Assistant Manager 



As a member of the Rights and Permissions team you will help manage the rights assessment and clearance function which enables the use of photos, videos and text assets within IT Professional (ITP) products and services.  Working with both internal and external teams, you will serve as project manager on multiple concurrent projects that might be handled independently or by a vendor. You will see projects through from kickoff to final payments and, with the support of your manager, troubleshoot any rights issues along the way. 



Purpose 



Managing multiple projects and deadlines to ensure all products go live on time 



To work within systems that support the acquisition of third-party media rights: financial processing, entering/managing data relating to image/text/video assets and running reports (training and support will be provided)  



You will identify tasks within the systems that require escalation or enhancement (e.g., data inaccuracies, process blockers) and be responsible for re-opening and closing them  



With support from the rest of the team you will proactively address any backlog of clearance tasks as well as maintain new tasks 



A key aim of this role will be to work with the ITP R&P team to support the completion (“closure”) of projects and to identify systems records that might need to be re-opened and remediated 



Key Accountabilities: 



Monitor project dates for work in progress and request extensions for any that are not completed but are approaching their end date  



Communicate with external vendor team and manage project deliverable deadlines with their support 



Achieve clearance task targets to meet project deadlines 



Add assessment logs to data management system after project close out 




Download hi-res media assets (images/video) as required and upload to data management system 



Create content plans (detailed lists of assets for inclusion within products) for small/ad-hoc projects 



Process permission requests as appropriate to ensure that rights are acquired prior to publication / product release  



Manage the upload of data for new versions of existing projects 



Invoice management for clearance tasks that are cost-bearing 



Engage with rights initiatives within the wider R&P function 



Attend meetings across the line of business to communicate project status 



Ensure project closure dates are met for all non-automated tasks

Fluent English speaker 



Highly organized, excellent project manager 



General understanding of Microsoft Office, database management 



Eager to learn and achieve competency and mastery in bespoke systems 



Communication and team-working skills 



Knowledge of copyright 




2-4 years rights and permissions experience 



Familiarity with current AI ongoings and knowledge of technology a plus 



Education, qualifications & training 



A good level of academic and/or vocational qualification. 



Full training and ongoing support for bespoke systems and processes will be provided.  



An interest in learning, education and digital technologies.
