The Opportunity:









Works independently under close supervision, enhance product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics and transportation plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory. Create and review procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost. Ensure rational distribution and delivery according to analysis report and tracking records.

Assistant Manager - EXIM is accountable for procuring of Raw material and Finished goods of the required quantity of material while ensuring that the purchase is made at the best price without compromising on the quality. Also arrange for smooth custom clearance after arrival of the shipment with compliance to applicable custom rules and regulations.


What we're looking for:


Education:


  • Graduate in any discipline (preferably Science)


Experience:


  • 5 - 8 years of experience supply chain function in chemical industry


Preferred Skills/Qualifications:


  • MBA in Supply  Chain Management would be an add-on


  • Sound knowledge of EXIM policy


  • Well versed with International Trade practices


Skills/Competencies:


  • Should have good knowledge of logistics, warehouse and statutory compliances


How you'll thrive an create an impact:


1.Receive indent from production department and procure raw material/ packing material within the specified time


2.Build and maintain relationships with the vendors and negotiate with the vendors for better price. Depute CHA / Freight forwarder for import shipments.


3.Keep abreast of the latest developments and industry trends


4.Delivery of material to the right location within the stipulated time


5.Disposal of rejected material


6.Follow up with overseas supplier for improving lead time.


7.Negotiate with CHA / Freight forwarder and make rate contract for successful execution of shipments


8.Ensure timely LC establishment and overseas vendor payments as per agreed payment terms.
