Position Name Assistant General Manager - Engineering
Job Band 4
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 
Job Purpose/Objective Drive the vision, design, strategy and successful implementation of existing project and future expansions. Facility management from technical point of view and ensure seamless functioning of the entire infrastructure in order to support the business.
Key responsibilities 
  • Overall responsibility for Engineering activities across the business unit.
  • Requires a blend of engineering expertise and significant experience in project management.
  • Create and implement best practice engineering policies
  • Processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance
  • Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
  • Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed
  • Take ownership of the engineering policy, guidelines and any associated documents
  • Initiate and develop creative and innovative engineering processes General and Task Management
  • Providing technical support to the operations and commercial teams
  • Lead the preparation of technical and contract documentation for analysis of the performance of entire facility. 
  • Ensure any new equipment or engineering activity is supported with appropriate qualification documentation 
  • Report on Engineering/ technical activities on a regular basis to the Senior Management team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant
  • Disaster management
  • Ensure that Environmental, Health and Safety, engineering and quality standards and procedures are adhered to.
  • Define the metrics required to assess performance against standards required

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES 
Skills and Competencies
  • BE Civil/Mechanical with strong experience of managing large size projects.
  • Outstanding leadership skills, having an ability to move a cross-functional group in a unified direction and with a common vision.
  • Familiar with Civil and MEP aspects of the project.
  • Technologically adept and demonstrate reasonable technical skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, planning, co-ordination, Analytical thinking and strategic decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills.

  •  BE Civil/Mechanical with strong experience of managing large size projects.
