Job Description
Key Role and Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities by analysing regional industrial hubs, competition, and future growth trends for both EXIM and Domestic businesses.
- Understand the impact of MMLPs, GCT terminals, and the DFC network on upcoming projects and terminal development bids.
- Perform financial modelling for cost, revenue, and expenses for targeted locations including traffic and tariff analysis by commodity.
- Consolidate data inputs for bid submissions for new projects in coordination with Operations and Regional BD teams.
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new PFT, ICD, and CFS ventures.
Strategic Initiatives
- Develop Rail Domestic retail products and corridors by collaborating with commercial teams across ICD’s.
- Drive initiatives to increase BCO share in collaboration with commercial units.
- Integrate rail products with other business units and establish partnerships with third-party players to offer multimodal solutioning.
- Focus on key customer lanes and develop strategic partnerships to drive business expansion.
Capability Building
- Create marketing plans and value propositions for existing and new rail’s products and services.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to enhance visibility for new launches, third-party collaborations, sponsorships and event planning
- Collaborate with Corp Communication team to create social media posts, print media releases, and organise events across India to increase visibility for rail business on various platforms.
ESG Initiatives
- Understanding of basic ESG ways to understand and create value for customers
- Work with the ESG team
- to monitor and reduce carbon footprints across logistics operations at ICDs.
Business Performance
- Optimize CRM systems and dashboards to improve sales pipeline management.
- Provide market data to support sales teams in converting leads into business.
- Collaborate with leadership on budget planning and monitor sales and operations performance against targets.
- Develop sales incentives and performance KPIs to help the sales team meet budgeted targets.

Education Qualification:
- MBA in Sales and Marketing/Logistics
