Who we are looking for:


The Vice President oversees the management of teams that provide centralized price validation, statement tracking, performance reporting, data collection, reconciliation and data validation services to clients. The VP acts as the secondary escalation point for our stakeholders/homesite partners, who are responsible for overall deliverables for some of the largest institutional investors in Alternative Investments in the world. They will lead efforts on new client conversions, systems updates, and special projects, as well as providing direct oversight and mentorship to the Assistant Vice Presidents (AVP) and Officers on the team. The VP will also work closely with our homesite partners / stakeholders to provide data support and reporting solutions, participate in new client discussions, and lead training sessions, as needed The Vice President will be responsible for helping to drive on the design, implementation, and execution of the strategic vision of the Private Markets team in State Street’s Asset Owners group (formerly known as AOPM/AFAST & now named as AIAS – Alternative Investment Administrator Services

The AOPM/AIAS group assists institutional investors in managing the administrative aspects of investing in Alternative Investments, while also providing investors with the decision support tools and information they need to help find the alpha they are seeking from their managers. The Private Markets service is built on a set of integrated technologies, which allows us to process information from investor’s financial statements in a quick and efficient manner, and a dedicated client service team who is experienced in working with Alternative Investments and focused on delivering timely and accurate information


What you will be responsible for:


Managerial Responsibilities:


• Ensure their teams are delivering timely and accurate data updates and reports to our


stakeholders/homesite partners and their constituents


• Work closely with stakeholders/homesite to provide solutions for India related Process challenges,


People challenges, Training Requirements, Risk Issues and Client needs as needed.


• Provide direct oversight and mentorship to Managers/Officers & the team


• Ensure that all team members are following Standard Operating Procedures, and that quality


control checks are in place for all client deliverables


• Help and create robust support system for Process Managers in their secondary review of every


deliverables & ensure 100% accuracy, timeliness & completeness.


• Reassess, Refine and suggest optimization of existing AOPM operating process/model to ensure


that resources are being properly deployed by collaborating with our global partners


• Engage with State Street Client Service teams along with global partners & ensure client service


levels are met and discuss new solutions for streamlining process to meet client expectations or


require any changes at client end.


• Work with our IT partners to ensure support for development, implementation, and maintenance


of new technology solutions for AOPM clients and the AOPM team


• Support Homesite partners for any business growth initiatives by preparing data, responses,


participating in prospective client presentations, and reviewing opportunities with the Client


Service team


• Manage and help drive implementation efforts for special projects, as needed


• Perform & have governance of process, people, Risk & client related controls

Level of Education/ Specific Qualifications


Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Economics with a specialization in Business, Accounting,


Finance or equivalent experience preferred


Skills and Experience


This is a key position and requires senior leadership and advanced skills-


• Overall 16-18 years or relevant experience, part of which must have been in a management or


supervisory capacity


• Proficient in the working knowledge of Equity, Fixed Income Securities, Bank Loans, CFDs and


other derivative products


• Understanding of operational functions within Alternative Fund Accounting. Ability to provide


technical expertise to resolve daily problems


• Should have worked directly with clients and counterparties in a global context


• Should have experience of end to end ownership of operations, with direct accountability on


business, client and risk metrics (including losses)


• Demonstrated leadership beyond operations, working with Risk, Technology, Automation and


Change groups to drive BAU and transformation


• Proven leadership skills as well as managing and developing a high performing operations


teams


• Proven ability to generate innovation ideas, manage project pipeline and ultimately transform


businesses


• Demonstrated ability to manage, coach and influence colleagues and virtual team members


• Should be open to work in North American shift hours as needed by the business

through effective plans, clear priorities and developed process management methods to ensure

• Strong Product Knowledge - Strong knowledge of alternative asset classes, valuation


methodologies, and market trends. Hand-on experience of managing different Asset classes like


Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Fund of Hedge funds, Real Estate, Commodities & Derivatives.


• Leverage Talent Globally - Actively commit to developing yourself and others to drive the


competitive advantage achieved through a diverse, engaged and mobile workforce while


understanding different perspectives and cultures to align management practices to fulfill


business strategy
