Job Title: ASOC Security Manager
Job Summary: The ASOC Security Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the Advanced Security Operations Center team to ensure the organization's information systems and networks are protected against cyber threats. This role involves managing security operations, incident response, threat intelligence, and continuous improvement of security measures to safeguard the company's digital assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the ASOC team, including hiring, training, and performance management of security analysts and engineers
Develop and implement advanced security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect against evolving cyber threats
Oversee 24/7 monitoring of security events and incidents across the organization's IT infrastructure
Manage the incident response process, ensuring swift and effective handling of security breaches and threats
Collaborate with other IT and business units to align security operations with overall organizational goals
Implement and maintain security information and event management (SIEM) systems and other security tools
Develop and maintain threat intelligence capabilities to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks
Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA)
Prepare and present security reports and metrics to senior management and stakeholders
Manage relationships with external security vendors and service providers
Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and best practices
Develop and manage the ASOC budget, including resource allocation and tool procurement
Establish and maintain a security awareness program for the organization
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master's degree preferred
8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of information security principles, best practices, and technologies
Experience managing a SOC or ASOC in a large enterprise environment
In-depth understanding of network security, endpoint security, and cloud security
Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and compliance requirements
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience with SIEM tools, threat intelligence platforms, and other security technologies
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC GSEC
Knowledge of incident response methodologies and forensic analysis
Experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
