Amazon is looking for a highly skilled Photo Studio Art Director (AD) for its fast-paced imaging studio. Successful candidates will be self-starters, strong communicators, very detail-oriented, and highly creative. The AD will be assisting and styling in a range of different categories for e-commerce photography, video and 3D capture and will be contributing to continual style improvements and styling/prep efficiencies. AD will be a key stakeholder of environmental photo and video imaging, and will be engaged in enhancement of visual customer experience. AD will be required to identify new opportunities and drive projects independently in collaboration with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will have a solid visual culture background and understanding of design trends. The Photo Studio AD will be able to manage multiple tasks, and interact with key stakeholders
Key job responsibilities
• Collaborate with internal creative teams as well as business teams to deliver high-quality, scale-able, on-brand imaging solutions to build a superior customer experience
• Delivering results quickly with little supervision in a dynamic and often ambiguous environment.
• Enhance the team knowledge of best practices and trends in Amazon Visual Innovation Services (VIS)
• Plan, conceptualize and execute elevated e-commerce, still-life and video content; direct post-production to achieve desired results
• Communicating effectively, including verbal and written skills, and influencing across levels • Assist on set with prepping, prioritizing imaging order, and styling products
• Troubleshoot and prioritize direction for creatives on set
• Use the vision of the brand, buyer requests, and other resources as guides to make specific Styling choice
• Mentor stylists & assistant stylists in the studio
• Organize and maintain the workspace, styling props inventory and request supplies
• Support safety initiatives regarding studio workflow and processes
• Drive creative briefings and support editorial shoots
- • Degree in Fine Arts/Graphic Design/Visual Communications/Fashion or 10+ commensurate experience
- • At least 5 years’ experience in Photo Art Direction. Top Tier fashion retail websites e-commerce preferred
- • 2+ Years of experience in Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- • Effective written/verbal communication skills and collaborative skills
- • Accustomed to the intensity of the studio environment and expertise in leading creative projects and teams
- • Familiarity with styling, research and visual presentation techniques
- • Knowledge of past and emerging trends, comfortable in a culture of continuous change
- • Ability to facilitate the creative development process, including providing clear direction, and producing work cost effectively and as per the schedule
- • Should be having a portfolio that demonstrates the ability to turn ideas into a strong creative vision for fashion styling and trends.
- • Proven history to manage multiple projects at one time to meet aggressive deadlines. Unwavering attention to detail and an acute awareness that everything counts.

- • Working knowledge of Excel, Photoshop and Premiere Pro
