Role Description: Key Account Manager - OEM combustion equipment


Location: India, New Delhi


Position Summary:


As a Key Account Manager (KAM) for OEM combustion equipment, you will be the primary point of contact for our key clients, our Burner and Boiler manufacturers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty. You will be responsible for managing and nurturing long-term relationships with our most important clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to enhance their business operations. Your role will involve strategic planning, sales management, and customer service, aimed at achieving sales targets and fostering customer retention and growth.

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Client Relationship Management:


    • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts.


    • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters.


    • Conduct regular meetings with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.


    • Handle and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly.


  2. Sales and Business Development:


    • Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts to retain a client-account manager relationship by up-selling and cross-selling.


    • Achieve sales targets and outcomes within the schedule.


    • Develop strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.


    • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to key clients.


  3. Market and Product Knowledge:


    • Stay updated with industry trends, market activities, and competitors.


    • Gain in-depth knowledge of our products and services to provide informed recommendations to clients.


    • Conduct market research and analyze data to understand client needs and product applications.


  4. Account Planning and Management:


    • Develop account plans for key accounts, outlining strategic objectives, sales targets, and action plans.


    • Monitor and report on account performance, including sales metrics, client feedback, and potential areas for growth.


    • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, engineering, technical support) to ensure customer requirements are met.


  5. Negotiation and Contract Management:


    • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.


    • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.


    • Manage the contract lifecycle, including renewals and compliance with terms and conditions.


  6. Customer Satisfaction and Retention:


    • Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to ensure satisfaction with products and services.


    • Implement customer feedback and ensure continuous improvement in service delivery.


    • Foster a customer-centric culture within the organization.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred in Electrical & Electronics / Mechanical, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA is a plus but not mendatory.


  • 5-7 years of experience in the combustion industry.


  • Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or in a similar sales role, preferably in the OEM combustion equipment sector.


  • Strong technical understanding of combustion applications and its applications.


  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.


  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.


  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.


  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.


  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.


  • Proficient in CRM software and MS Office Suite.


  • Willingness to travel as needed pan India , Bangladesh, Sri-lanka
