The Opportunity:









Area Sales Manager - Biopharma is responsible for implementing the business strategy for the JT Baker & Macron range of Pharma Products at the respective operational area to achieve annual budget & gross margins.


What we're looking for:


Education:


B.Sc. / M.Sc. (Chemistry) / B. Pharma or any other equivalent stream​ with MBA / PGDM would be preferred


Experience:


5 - 8 years of sales experience in the Biopharma industry​


How you will thrive and create an impact:


  • Formulate strategy for the territory &ensure delivery of business plan (sales plan)


  • Responsible for achieving budgeted numbers of sales, net contribution & working capital


  • Manage large key Accounts & key distributors to achieve the overall objective of sales numbers & customer satisfaction


  • Responsible for territory growth and increasing market share of GMP products in line with company vision


  • Establish business relationships at the decision making/Influence levels in all appropriate customer functional areas


  • Collect market intelligence on competition and market trends and to provide feedback to marketing team to develop sales strategies


  • Ensuring discipline in Hygiene parameter like SRCN, DSO etc.
  •  Plan and direct sales activities to achieve and exceed targets for the range of products manufactured by Avantor.
  • Manage and protect business for existing customers as well as new customers’ acquisition.
  •  Understand customer needs and offer tailor solutions that provide maximum value, emphasizing the benefits and ROI of our products/services as a part of Value based selling.
  •  Develop and keep knowledge of the industry, market trends, and our product/service portfolio to effectively address customer challenges. 
  •  Create plans in alignment with business goals of sales, margins and accounts receivables.
  •  Timely update of weekly, monthly reports, forecasts, and submission of region data with concerned  stake holders. 
  •  Ensure that the relevant details of visits, opportunities, leads, and projects is timely and accurately updated in CRM.
  •  Ensure Cordial Customer relations, meeting and exceeding customer expectations about product delivery timelines and quality within the set budgetary boundaries.
  • Conduct presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations with prospective clients, highlighting the benefits of our solutions. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D team, product management, supply chain, regulatory, finance, customer service to align sales strategies with overall business goals.
