As an Area Product Owner in the Open Invest Team, you will contribute to the development of analytical solutions for OpenInvest within Wealth Management Solutions. Your role will involve supporting the creation of foundational platforms and tools which support sustainable and values-based investing, including those for portfolio optimization, custom indexing, and impact measurement. Collaborating with global cross-functional teams, you will play a role in advancing OpenInvest's mission of aligning capital with values.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Support the development of foundational capabilities that enhance data production efficiency, eliminate redundancies, and ensure high data quality, ultimately supporting the delivery of best-in-class client experiences that support sustainable and values-based investing.
  • Assist in defining and executing the platform product vision, applying best practices, and leveraging market and technology trends.
  • Assist in managing the product backlog using data-driven insights and writing clear user stories.
  • Contribute to data quality improvements and generate actionable insights from diverse sources, ensuring that data reliability directly supports better investment decisions.
  • Measure success through accomplishing quarterly OKRs that support business priorities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including business (regulatory, product, and advisory teams) and engineering teams, to support development, ensure alignment, and prioritize impactful features.
  • Execute prioritized initiatives on the product roadmap, focusing on foundational capabilities that empower advisor and client-facing teams to create impactful solutions and deliver superior client experiences that support sustainable and values-based investing.
  • Contribute to agile ceremonies and ensure development stays on track.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:


  • Graduate/Post - Graduate with 7+ years of experience in Banking/Financial Services, including 3+ years in product management with agile practices.
  • Strong analytical skills, data literacy, and knowledge of technology and its applications.
  • Experience with financial market data, particularly ESG, producing data at scale, and knowledge of financial services and market data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, MSCI, FactSet).
  • Proven track record managing scrum backlogs, using agile methodologies, and familiarity with product ownership, including project planning, resource management, and requirements management.
  • Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills, capable of addressing both technical challenges (e.g., system development, platform capabilities) and functional challenges (e.g., business processes, stakeholder requirements).
  • Ability to work independently with guidance and mentorship, managing expectations, and communicating effectively across teams.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:


  • Technical proficiency, such as familiarity with programming languages like Python or Java.
  • Experience in portfolio construction or model portfolio management.
  • Expertise in Sustainable Investment practices or Due Diligence processes, with an understanding of industry standards and trends.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred.
  • Passion for emerging technologies and digital solutions.
  • Experience working in a highly matrix organization with global stakeholders.
