Job Description

Overview Purpose and scope of this role includes: New Role to expand, maintain Enterprise Directory in Azure as well as managing and provide support for IDX applications moving to Azure, with managing the OUD. This role will be an individual contributor role. Responsibilities Advanced User Account Management: Independently manage user accounts, groups, and organizational units within the LDAP directory. Implement user provisioning and de-provisioning processes while adhering to established protocols. Authentication and Authorization: Design and enforce authentication and authorization mechanisms for various applications and services using LDAP. Implement and maintain role-based access control (RBAC) models. Directory Schema Management: Modify and extend the LDAP directory schema to accommodate evolving business needs. Ensure schema changes are well-documented and backward-compatible. Performance Optimization: Monitor LDAP server performance and identify opportunities for optimization. Implement caching strategies and indexing to improve query performance. Security Implementation: Configure and maintain SSL/TLS encryption for LDAP communications to ensure data confidentiality. Collaborate with security teams to implement intrusion detection and prevention mechanisms. Troubleshooting and Incident Response: Investigate and resolve complex LDAP-related issues, including user authentication failures and directory synchronization problems. Develop incident response procedures for LDAP-related security incidents. Automation and Scripting: Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline routine LDAP administrative tasks. Automate user provisioning, access changes, and de-provisioning processes. Backup and Recovery: Implement LDAP backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability. Test and document disaster recovery procedures. Collaboration and Leadership: Lead LDAP-related projects and initiatives, coordinating efforts with cross-functional teams. Mentor junior administrators and provide guidance on LDAP best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 10+ years of overall experience in IT support or related roles. 7+ years of hands-on experience in LDAP administration and directory services. In-depth experience with LDAP integration in diverse application environments. Previous involvement in LDAP-related project design and implementation. Profound understanding of LDAP architecture, schema design, and best practices. Strong Experience in Oracle Unified Directory. Strong expertise in authentication mechanisms, access control, and RBAC implementation. Good Programming knowledge in Java. Experience with LDAP performance tuning and optimization techniques. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, PERL) for automation. Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex LDAP issues. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
