Objectives /Purpose


This role will focus on the continued simplification of the financial planning process for Data, Digital & Technology (DD&T) spend in Apptio, across all Globa Data, Digital & Technology (GDD&T). The role will see the person be an expert in Apptio, driving the long-term vision of Apptio planning, defining the financial reporting (Monthly, Budgetary, Annually) for all DD&T spend across GDD&T.


This role will be expected to drive the simplification of the GDD&T MYC/MRP process, month end actuals reporting and influence others to make changes to enable this.


It is expected the role will develop a long-term roadmap which are aligned with the other Apptio product managers and Platform Owner.


This role will require the persuasion of others across the GDD&T community to ensure a consistent way of working and the role will require regular interaction with senior leaders across GDD&T.


This role reports to the Head of FP&A, GDD&T finance and collaborates closely with counterparts to support the Global Data, Digital & Technology function, ensuring clear visibility into operational and project budgets, forecasts, and actual performance.


Accountabilities


  • Responsible for the Vision of Apptio Planning Module.
  • Responsible for the relationship management with Apptio/IBM and defining the Takeda strategy based on the Apptio roadmap.
  • Maintain the monthly forecast in the Apptio Planning Module (including daily updates of reference data, daily publication to cost transparency, & rolling the forecast from month to month to include updated actual spend).
  • Maintain the MYC/MRP forecasts in the Apptio Planning Module.
  • Build and maintain reports in Cost Transparency and/or Apptio BI.
  • Be the primary contact for all Apptio Planning queries from Platform & Service Owners, Budget Management Team, Consumption team and other Apptio Product managers.
  • Mange enhancement requests and develop a detailed roadmap for deployment in line with the Platform Owner and other Apptio Product Managers.
  • Work with the Platform Owner and Budget Management team to ensure new functionality is tested prior to releasing to production.
  • Work with the Platform Owner to thoroughly test new enhancements and features prior to releasing to production.
  • Defining the training approach of Apptio Planning and Execution of the defined training approach.  
  • Where relevant, collaboration with consumption team members to deliver an exceptional user experience & implement any new services added to the consumption process.  
  • All other duties reasonably required of the position.

Education, Behavioural Competencies and Skills


Essential


  • Apptio Certified Practitioner
  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong understanding of accounting and finance principles
  • At least 10 years of overall business experience, with a minimum of 5 years in Apptio roles
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated business impact in previous leadership roles
  • Internationally mobile for future assignments within the company
  • Strong computer software skills (IBM & Microsoft Office Suite)
  • In depth understanding of controls and SOX compliance

Desired


  • CPA, Chartered or Certified Accounting Qualification or local equivalent
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical or healthcare setting
  • Experience of TM1 (PAX, PAW), PowerBI, Enterprise Database tools
