The IT Project Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Responsibilities:
The incumbent would be expected to manage application manager role as well as a seasoned BAPM role in the Markets Technology team . He/ She should be comfortable in working with multiple stakeholders located in multiple geographies along with vendor staff as applicable. Awareness of Mkts domain like FX, Derivatives, Rates/ Fixed Income etc are needed to manage projects across Front office desks or Back office stakeholders in these domains .This would involve front-ending and delivering local, regional/global enhancements/ projects end to end working with Markets Business , Operations and extended stakeholders like product, FInance, Product control and other tech verticals. The incumbent should be able to understand the Mkts lingo to ensure requirements from traesury desks are understood & optimal solutions are proffered. Initiatives handled could be Local or global regulatory mandates, Business driven or revenue generation asks or tech mandatory ,resilience projects . Key responsibilities include but are not limited to below-
Business Analyst:
1. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges. Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and workflows. Translate business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications for technical teams.
2. Collaborate with Solution Architects & Developers (within the team or outside) to design solutions that meet business needs. Propose innovative and practical solutions to address business challenges.
3. Collaborate with Stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Assist in project planning, estimation, and resource allocation.
4. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
5. Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to various audiences.
6. Sending weekly status reports to the senior management stakeholders.
7. Create detailed documentation on confluence portal, including business requirements, process flows, use cases, and user stories.
8. Maintain accurate and up-todate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Understand of the Project Management of the Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence).
9.Well versed with Agile Methodology. Act as a Product Owner/Scrum master and create/manage User story backlog for the requirements/epics.
10.Participate in system testing, Assist business users in user acceptance testing, and validation of implemented solutions. Ensure that delivered solutions meet the specified requirements and are of high quality.
Project Management:
1. Skilled in managing both local and Global projects within the specific domains.
2. Lead project teams, identify resource/cost needs, and develop schedules to ensure on-time project delivery.
3. Communicating effectively with both internal and potentially external stakeholders.
4. Provide on-the-ground support to help develop and execute the planning, and coordination of day-to-day activities of running the Initiative or programs.
5. Manage, monitor & track execution of transformation programs and timing of work streams, deliverables and other milestones.
6. Support all aspects of the project reporting including RAG ratings, key performance indicators, status updates, adherence to dates and deliverables and quality of deliverables.
7. Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or deviations from the plan.
8. Keep management & leadership updated on project status/ RAG/challenges and also work closely with the extended team to deliver optimal solutions with right fitment of the applications.
Application Management:
1. Appropriately assess risk to the application on every development conducted for the business and Technology.
2. Plan and manage the product Tech stack by timely remediation of the Vulnerable components, upgrading the EOVS items for the Application.
3. Planning the Annual COB for the application by co-ordinating with other dependent partners.
4. Conducting the Risk Review for every business enhancement and Technology changes done in the application.
5. Managing the design, development, delivery and maintenance of best-in-class product systems, tools, and architecture that enable effective management of compliance risks and analytics-driven insight.
• Work with stakeholders in Trading, Operations, Technology of the product in order to fulfil the current Business and Regulatory needs.
• Understand the Business Requirement from the Different stakeholders and help them with the functional solutions.
• Analyze huge data sets, create flow diagrams, prepare high level summaries and workflows.
• Work in close co-ordination with the development leads on enhancements and defects, and assist with troubleshooting / resolution of application defects.
• Engaging successfully with software developers and testers to ensure quality delivery, on time.
• Planning, estimating, managing risks and issues, project reporting, managing stakeholders, and building strong relationships with the business.
• Assist in project execution through JIRA, providing tracking to technical teams and status updates to internal and business stakeholders.
• Shape the strategic architecture for the application by working closely with the development leads and by defining solutions that are robust and aligned with the technology roadmap.
• Develop best practices to be used in evaluating, selecting, and implementing technologies for use within FXLM technology more broadly.
• Monitor new developments in data visualization and analysis technology across ICG and in the industry more generally and provide recommendations about new technology adoption.
