Job Description

The role is best suits for you, if you are eager to use your knowledge and expertise in empowering researchers and/or scientists of tomorrow, who are currently working with mass spectrometry technologies in analytical and/or Food Chemistry analytical labs.  


The Application Support Scientist is responsible for following:


  • Deliver high quality support to users to drive customer satisfaction, leading to development, nurturing and retention of key customer base.
  • Plan and deliver training courses, provide phone, web and in-lab technical support of LC-MS products and monitor customer satisfaction through regular contact with key accounts.
  • Pre-sales demonstration of Sciex Separations instruments and workflows.
  • Prepare and/or deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations at scientific conferences
  • Conduct and deliver regular trainings/refreshers for sales and service teams and Coach junior members of the team.

This position is field-based and part of the Sciex Application team  and will be located in Bangalore and will be responsible for supporting the growth of the Sciex Separations business in the region.


In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 


  • Pre-sales demonstrations of SCIEX Separations equipment(s) and post-sales support to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Conduct and deliver training courses /refreshers learning session to our customers
  • Extend timely support to users to drive customer satisfaction leading to retention of key customer base and prepare and/or deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations at scientific conferences

The essential requirements of the job include:  


  • M. Pharma/ M. Sc (> 3year of industry experience) / Ph.D. in Food Chemistry or Life Sciences (>2 years of experience)
  • 2-8 years of relevant experience in Lifesciences or related industry. Experience in the area of Food Application and Analytical Research shall be preferred
  • In-depth understanding of analytical techniques in research, specific to Liquid Chromatography tandem mass spectrometry. Preferable to have hands on experience related to other instrumentation and techniques in LC-MS workflows.

  Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:


  • As this is field-based Job based out of Bangalore (India) and support to be extended to all India.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: 


  • Proven experience of teaching or training the use of separations sciences equipment.
  • Exposure to SCIEX technologies
