Position Summary:

The Application Specialist will oversee and enhance a portfolio of applications, with expertise in Blue Yonder, Kinexo, Java, Microsoft technologies, Cognos, ETL, Tableau, WebSphere Application Server (WAS), and PeopleSoft. This role includes providing technical leadership, managing a team of IT professionals, and ensuring successful project execution. The specialist will drive the implementation of complex technical solutions, meeting both client and organizational requirements while ensuring high application performance and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Management: Configure, maintain, and optimize applications, focusing on Blue Yonder, Kinexo, and PeopleSoft environments to support business objectives.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven environment.
• Project Management: Define project scope, set objectives, and oversee timelines and deliverables. Effectively allocate resources and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level support for Java-based applications, ETL processes, and data analytics platforms like Cognos and Tableau.
• Database Expertise: Ensure robust database integration, security, and performance, optimizing data workflows across systems.
• Development & Customization: Design and implement tailored application solutions, leveraging WAS for deployment and management.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, set priorities, and maintain alignment with project goals.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Blue Yonder, Kinexo, Java, Microsoft tech stack, Cognos, ETL, Tableau, WAS, and PeopleSoft.
• Database Knowledge: Strong skills in database management, querying, and optimization.
• Experience: 10–15 years in application management, technical support, software development, team management, and project management.
