Job Description
The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
- Requirement gathering & understanding, effort estimation, technical design
- Work proactively & independently to address project requirements, and articulate issues/challenges with enough lead time to address project delivery risks
- Providing expertise in technical analysis and solving technical issues during project delivery
- Customer interfacing - understand customer requirements, propose technical solutions.
- Full Software Development Lifecycle
- Monitor performance and availability of live production systems, produce reports and provide support when needed.
- Provide knowledge and insights on architecture and infrastructure implementation.
- Evaluate new technology options and vendor products and ensure critical system security through the use of best in class cloud security solutions.
- Define new patterns and standards as required.
- Experience in creating Infrastructure as Code and working with vendor APIs
- Utilize agile practices to ensure consistent and transparent execution.
- Monitor standards/policy compliance by developing and executing governance processes and tools.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to build and maintain continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment/delivery (CD) systems for complex, distributed applications, using tools like Jenkins, TeamCity etc.
- Experience in development tools like GIT and familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence or similar tools.
- Knowledge of Java 8 + and shell script. Other languages are a plus.
- Knowledge of J2EE, Spring 5.x and Fast Automation/Selenium
- Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
- Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Preferred Skills:
- Good understanding and experience with a testing framework (TDD, BDD, etc.)
- Good understanding of the DB technologies SQL and NOSQL.
- Gemfire Cache 9.1, DMM Standards(ICG Build, uDeploy, Sonar, Gradle builds), Tibco BW
- Basic Financial Domain Understanding, Trade Lifecycle(Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office)
