Job Description
The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Appian applications and good understanding on integrations with other systems.
- Must have excellent knowledge of core Appian concepts, records, interfaces, process models, deployments using pipeline, integrations, Web API's
- Must have good knowledge of backend services, configurations & infrastructure necessary to build and maintain the platform
- Decent knowledge of database concepts, Appian on-premises vs cloud would be a good to have.
- Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems.
- Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents.
- Serve as advisor or coach to new or junior analysts.
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions.
- Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience of working on complex distributed and highly scalable enterprise applications.
- Should have strong hands-on experience on Appian development and Infrastructure.
- Experience in CICD tools like Bitbucket, TFS, Jenkins, UDeploy or similar tools in an agile methodology.
- Experience within a banking/finance environment would be preferable.
- Experience in Scrum/Agile methodologies with application development projects.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.

- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
