As an APAC Regional Controls Team Lead - Vice President within the Asia Team, you will be responsible for managing a local team of 14 in Bangalore, performing oversight on a team that supports complex data and business analysis, and ensuring timely and quality completion of data extract and analysis. You will also be responsible for the coordination of data collation, execution of the data analysis, and composition of the draft report. This role provides an opportunity to build your career in Controls, work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, and promote process improvement across the team 


Job Responsibilities:


  • Managing Day to day operations, coaching and development of local team, resource planning
  • Partnering with key stakeholders and cross collaborate with regional support teams to identify and prioritize technology enhancements and also opportunities for consistency and improvement
  • Responsible for the coordination of data collation required data from a variety of sources including CORE, RED and PAD etc.
  • Execute data analysis and identification of trends quarter on quarter as well as across legal entities
  • Coordinating and response to 2nd line of defense check and challenges, and escalating aging challenges and framework is adhered to with proper audit trails and segregated storage of data analysis and finalized materials
  • Supporting the Regional lead with strategic development of the framework as it evolves including data source evolution
  • Responsible for the composition of the draft report using extracts from all of the required data sources, ready for coordination with risk stripe SMEs to provide qualitative commentary into the assessment

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:


  • 10+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance preferred with previous team management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required,  with knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create, and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment in conjunction with business partners
  • Previous experience in CORE / Controls would be beneficial
  • Highly motivated, energetic self-starter who takes ownership and able to make constructive observations and recommendations with good organizational skills - manages & prioritizes multiple tasks and high focus on quality, confident with communicating with and influencing stakeholders 
  • Investigative mind-set, able to see issues at both a high-level and in detail, and understand applicability across the business
  • Project Management experience desirable with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), and Alteryx skills preferable and exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leader and team player with excellent influencing skill who is able to partner closely with peers for data analysis and assessments across APAC, Good judgment, maturity, and poise to identify risks and escalate where required
