Job Description

Job Summary
• This role is responsible for spearheading the development of organization-wide testing architectures and methodologies and leading extensive cross-divisional teams. The role addresses challenges, promotes collaboration, and enhances testing approaches. The role reviews product designs and offers actionable insights for quality enhancement. The role shapes strategic decisions, influences business leadership, and contributes to setting functional policies for testing methods and innovation.
Responsibilities
• Develops organization-wide architectures and methodologies for systems, equipment, and device testing across multiple platforms in the organization.
• Leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects, addressing and solving cross-team issues, fostering teamwork and collaborations, and ensuring continuous improvement in testing methodologies.
• Identifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and outsourced testing partner relationships for alignment with technology roadmap and business value.
• Creates plans for integration and update into architecture, while effectively communicating the proposal, and results, and negotiating options at business unit and executive levels.
• Reviews and evaluates product designs and project activities for compliance with technology and testing guidelines and standards.
• Provides tangible feedback based on results to improve product quality and mitigate risk of product failure.
• Leverages recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups.
• Provides inputs to strategy and functional policy around testing methods, while helping the team in realization of these operational and strategic plans.
• Assists the engineering manager in defining test engineering staff priorities, work scope and assignments.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of test engineering design and development innovation and excellence.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in debug and validation, or a related field.
