We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our team in the IT Services industry. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in Android app development and a passion for creating innovative and user-friendly mobile applications. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop and maintain high-quality mobile applications for the Android platform.
Responsibilities:
Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Work with outside data sources and APIs
Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
Requirements
4-5 years of experience in Android app development
Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or other programming languages used for Android app development
Strong understanding of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
A knack for bench marking and optimization
Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
