Job TitleAnalytics Translator - Spare PartsJob DescriptionAs Analytics Translator you are the key link between the business and the Supply Data & Analytics (D&A) team, where your key role is to translate practical business problems into required analytical solutions. Your core focus area is the Spare Parts domain. In this exciting role you combine both technical aspects as well as the business side, allowing you to see first-hand the added value of the analytical solutions that are developed. This requires both a solid technical understanding as well as strong communication skills in order to engage with stakeholders in the business.This is an all-round role, where you will not only be responsible for translating the business problems into the required analytical solution, but you will also be responsible in the design and execution of the end-products by visualizing the data in Power BI. Technical expertise combined with affinity to work on the business side is key.You will be working inside the Supply D&A team, a growing and ambitious team that is responsible for realizing the Digital Roadmap of Supply. This is a young and dynamic team with the goal to leverage the Vanderlande data platform to solve a wide variety of business problems within the Supply domain.Key roles/responsibilitiesProactively engage with stakeholders globally (from operational to strategic level) across a wide variety of business capabilities in Spare Parts (e.g. order management, outbound logistics, warehousing, etc) to capture and detail out the exact business needs and translate this into clear Analytical requirements, supported by detailed documentation.Create and oversee the BI-roadmap for the Global Spare Parts community and manage the deliverables each sprint, from idea generation to final delivery.Provide thought leadership on how (Power BI) Dashboards can best be built from front-end (visualization) and back-end (data model and source data connections) and drive improvements in this.Drive optimization to reuse the same reporting environment and data products across multiple solutions and regions within our Business domainWork closely together with Subject Matter Experts, Global stakeholders and the Supply D&A team in developing the use cases and delivering optimized dashboards and insights in Power BIDeliver innovative, efficient and cost-effective solutions to meet the needs of our stakeholdersKey requirements5+ years of work experience in the field of Data & Analytics, ideally with exposure to Supply and/or OperationsProven experience from projects or operational activities with the focus on BI, including requirement gathering, functional specification, acceptance testing and implementation of the use casesBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, or related/comparable fieldExperience in Power BI development. Affinity with Qlik Sense is a plus.Strong networking and communication skills and high customer orientation combined with a very good sense of urgency. Ability to challenge stakeholders and drive decision making on priorities.Strong analytical and conceptional skills as well as high level of initiative, assertiveness and creative drive.Entrepreneurial mindset and drive for continuous improvement in the BI domain.Experience in using scrum, kanban, or scaled agile framework (SAFe).Experience as scrum master and/or product owner is a plus.Strong understanding of the usage and importance of various charts and tablesBasic statistical knowledge and methodological knowledge for data analysis to generate insights
