As a Data Engineering Associate in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm. You will support SEC and Regulatory Reporting for the Consumer & Community Banking line of business. The position is an individual contributor role and will partner with various personnel in CCB LOB Finance, Finance MIS and Corporate Finance to ensure results are integrated with the firmwide Finance/Risk Roadmap framework.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Develop SQL queries to extract data from databases.
  • Utilize Alteryx to clean, transform, and analyze data from various sources.
  • Build Tableau dashboards and reports to visualize and present data insights; ensure operating model in place and migrate dashboards or other solutions to production.
  • Optimize Tableau workbooks and dashboards for performance, ensuring fast load times and efficient use of system resources.
  • Document data sources, data models, and dashboard designs to ensure transparency and maintainability.
  • Understand various SEC and Regulatory reporting forms and build analytics around them.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions accordingly.
  • Guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Lead the design and implementation of data architecture and data governance frameworks.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the team is leveraging the best tools and practices.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:


  • Minimum 7 years of work experience with B. Tech/MSc in CS required (or similar degree). 
  • At least 5 years in data visualization, data management, data warehousing, or unstructured data environments. 
  • Experience developing dashboards or data flows using tools like Tableau, Alteryx, and/or similar tools. 
  • Advanced SQL / Data warehousing concepts. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Proven track record of leading complex data projects from inception to completion. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically. 
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation. 
  • Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or similar. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred qualifications:


  • Certifications in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Alteryx Designer Core). 
  • Experience with machine learning and AI-driven data analytics. 
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices for data security. 
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Confluence.
  • Experience with Banking Domain and/or Financial or Regulatory reporting preferred.
