KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand written or oral brief from client (business problem)
- Ensure Data Veracity as per problem brief; detect and flag anomalies or errors to Project Manager
- Hypothesis building
- Statistical model development and ensuring statistical hygiene of models
- Follow process to ensure accuracy and deliver projects as per timelines
- Write model findings with simple insights which make marketing sense
- Try different things to get to the best solution
- Train younger team members on the process
- Use visualization in Excel / PowerBI to prepare analytics results for clients
- Use basic programming to automate simple repetitive tasks in Excel Macros / VBA / R / Python
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Strong mathematical aptitude
- Ability to think logically and solve issues - trouble-shoot problems in code or try a different approach if something is not working in the defined process
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral) are essential
- Ability to document analysis (data and model findings) and simple processes
- Good attitude and willingness to learn new things and experiment to get to the best solution
- Should be a strong team player - work closely with team-mates and Project Manager
- Willingness to stretch to deliver to tight schedules
- Demonstrate independence in planning own work and executing it on time and with good quality
QUALIFICATIONS
- The ideal candidate will have consistent scholastic performance
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from premiere institute OR Graduate or Post-Graduate in Statistics
- Experience and knowledge of MS Office applications like Excel, Word, Powerpoint is a must
- Any programming knowledge will be an added advantage. Python / R skills preferred
PRIOR EXPERIENCE
- 1 - 2 years of relevant experience (Market Mix Modeling)
- Knowledge of data analytics will be an added advantage
