It begins with a Card Member using an American Express Card at one of our millions of proprietary Merchants around the world, then processing that transaction, and getting the merchant paid, is up to us. The Acquirer Capability (ACD) team is at the heart of the proprietary transaction process.  We power billions of transactions leading to
merchants being paid and continuing to welcome American Express cardmembers and their cards. We are seeking an experienced leader who has rich quality assurance expertise to be part of a team that will drive complex test strategy development, tooling and execution while leading a dynamic team.  This leader will play an role in several of the top strategic priorities.  You must have a passion for achieving the highest levels of quality,  collaborating with an amazing team and enjoying yourself along the journey.  This position suits someone who wastes no time forming working relationships, quickly adds value by introducing the best testing practices and techniques and being a change agent in a team that is driving a multi-year modernization program.     • Key Job Responsibilities:
      • This position is responsible for the planning and execution of end to end testing, remediation, performance management, software implementation support and post implementation validation for major business initiatives in accordance with all audit and legal requirements.
      • This position is also responsible for ensuring a cohesive relationship with various internal and external business and technical partners to optimize test planning and offer defect free results
      • Key functions of the role include:
      • Develop test strategies, plans and artifacts with internal and external partners, as appropriate
      • Build and use a deep understanding of the products and technology assets being tested to ensure efficient and optimal test coverage
      • Build, review and/or execute test cases at various quality assurance levels: Systems Integration, Partner Integration, Regression, and Performance where appropriate in partnership with TRAM
      • Work with software, infrastructure and software engineers to deliver target code quality
      • Work across Product Owners and Release Train Engineers to review test scenarios, validate test results and maintain documentation
      • Design quality metrics to be gathered, collated and reported to management. Identify patterns and opportunities from the metrics to drive innovation and improvement
      • Offer guidance and mentorship to engineering teams including driving improvements in automation and testing in a Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration (CD/CI) environment
      • Seek opportunities to embrace innovative testing technologies and techniques
      • Identify opportunities to adopt innovative testing techniques
    • Minimum Qualifications:
      • The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
      • Proven strategic thinker with experience in defining and executing global priorities.
      • Excellent relationship and influence management skills to establish collaborative partnerships across the Enterprise
      • Strong communication and presentation skills allowing for clear and appropriate messaging across multiple levels/audiences
      • Problem solver with solid analytical skills
      • Ability to influence without direct authority to gain alignment
      • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, including the ability to develop relationships with leaders while appropriately influencing without direct authority
      • Proven ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity, and rapid change, defining priorities for key products/projects that affect the broad direction of the Business
      • Flexible and willing to participate and collaborate with colleagues in different time zones
      • Self-starter able to adapt in a fast paced ever changing environment
      • Understanding of the Agile approach to project management and software development
      • Knowledge of Rally, one of the most comprehensive Agile project management tools a plus
    • Nice to Have Qualifications:
      • Knowledge of merchant transaction processing capabilities
      • Understanding of GMS business drivers, merchant needs, and market trends
