Position Summary:


The Solutions Financial Analyst will play a crucial role within our Global Business Service Center by managing billing processes, revenue recognition activities, and providing critical support for customer contracts. This position demands precision in handling financial details while maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Revenue Recognition & Billing Management: Manage monthly billing cycles and determine revenue recognition for software products. Collaborate closely with accounting on deferred revenue management associated with customer contracts.
  • Accrual Creation: Establish accurate accruals based on contractual agreements and completed work during each month using Salesforce.com alongside our integrated financial management application.
  • Customer Billing Operations: Bill customers accurately for time/labor involved in software implementation/installation as well as consulting services. Ensure bills are processed promptly each week by running the billing engine every Friday to capture any service contract lines due for billing.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Run monthly accounting reports systematically saving them into shared directories accessible by relevant stakeholders. Process executed contracts efficiently within the financial management application framework.
  • Issue Resolution & Information Provisioning: Resolve any billing-related issues expediently while providing requested information promptly to Sales teams when necessary. Create customer statements regularly ensuring accuracy before printing/emailing them out; rectify any errors identified swiftly.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline; relevant professional certifications preferred but not mandatory.
  • At least 3 years’ experience working within finance roles focused on revenue recognition/billing preferably within technology or software sectors.
  • Proficiency utilizing Salesforce.com integrated financial applications along standard office suite tools especially Excel.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities coupled with excellent organizational/time-management skills.
  • Effective communicator able maintain productive working relationships both internally and externally and present complex information clearly.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of transfer pricing principles is a plus

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA or CFA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial planning & analysis within a large corporation or global business service environment.
  • Proficiency in Enterprise Planning Management (EPM) systems and Workday.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with data visualization tools is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different teams.
