Job Description: Assistant Manager - Purchase
Role Overview:
The Assistant Manager - Purchase is responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
- Assist in planning and executing purchase strategies based on business requirements.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
Vendor Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for the best terms.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Cost Control:
- Monitor and manage procurement budgets.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Inventory Coordination:
- Work closely with inventory teams to avoid shortages or overstock.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels and procurement timelines.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies and regulatory standards.
- Prepare regular reports on purchase activities, costs, and savings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office tools.
