Assistant/Deputy Manager – Business Intelligence

Our Chief Data Office also known as our Innovation, Data Intelligence & Analytics team (IDA) is focused on driving innovation through optimizing how we leverage data to drive strategy and create a new business model – disrupting the insurance market. As we develop an enterprise-wide data and digital strategy that moves us toward greater focus on the use of data and data-driven insights, we are seeking an Assistant Manager for our Business Intelligence team. The role will support the team’s efforts towards reporting transformation projects (especially for Ceded Re business) and handling customer requests/enhancements. This role requires a person who is a team player and can work well with team members from other disciplines to deliver data in an efficient and strategic manner.

What will be your essential responsibilities include?

· Support, manage and enhance existing BI & Reporting products and processes.

· Architect, design and develop new reporting solutions.

· Energize and synergize the various Business Intelligence models and reporting.

· Support IDA BI & Reporting on various strategic initiatives as they arise from time to time and enable the         development of the function and related capabilities.

· Instill a customer-first culture, prioritizing service for our business stakeholders above all.

· Contribute to the development of the Business Intelligence team’s tools, skills, and culture and bring favourable impact.

You will report to the Principal Scientist, Business Intelligence & Reporting.

We’re looking for somer talentone who has these abilities and skills:

Required Skills and Abilities:

· Distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills combined with hands-on BI experience.

· Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Qlik, Cognos, etc.

· Experience in SQL, Advanced Excel, MS Access, and VBA.

· A good understanding of data warehousing concepts, and data modelling skills would be a big plus.

· Ability to communicate well within teams, peers, and teams across the globe, and manage stakeholders effectively.

· Brings in a collaborative spirit, a can-do attitude and a Customer First mindset.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

· A minimum of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline.

· Relevant years of experience in a data role (analytics, engineer, or consulting) supporting multiple speciality areas of Data and Analytics.

· Passion for digital, data and AI and experience working within a digital and data-driven organization.

· Any programming experience would be a plus.
