The Audits & Insights Team (AIT) strives to ensure that Amazon's Seller and Buyer policies are effectively implemented by the investigation and automation mechanisms within the Selling Partner Services (SPS). We achieve this by - (1) Defect Identification and Remediation: keep Amazon stores safe and trustworthy for customers (Buyers & Sellers), by ensuring that they fully conform to our established policies and by identifying and ensuring the reversal of any incorrect actions (2) Metrics reporting: measure investigation, policy and process performance, and share the defects via periodic reports with the relevant stakeholders and (3) Insight generation and Recommendation: identify the gap and propose solutions to bridge gaps in policies, automation or tools and work with the business, policy, tech, operations etc. teams and taking those solutions to the implementation phase.
A Manager I, Risk in AIT leads a team of auditors which perform audits and deep dives to identify defects and generate insights. Our team, through a partnership with core business teams, contribute to key goals that help improve Seller/Buyer experience on Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
· Ability to effectively lead a team, ensuring career coaching and strength alignment
· Manage operations, perform capacity and resourcing analysis and provide staffing recommendations
· Establish audit SOPs, internal quality controls, recommend revisions and ensure alignment with business goals
· Build and scale system-level solutions that have metric impact; drive adoption of solutions across teams
· Perform data analysis on trends observed and recommend solutions to the product and Ops teams
· Collaborate with partner teams and stakeholders across the globe to deliver on key business goals and objectives by driving consensus and building trust
· Perform high level failure (error) investigations which may be either operational or business specific in nature
· Establishes key reporting/MIS for functional area & write strong, well-structured and detail oriented reports in a clear, concise and audience-specific format
- Minimum 1 year of experience displaying high ownership, ability to dive deep and deliver results through projects, contributions to program level goals etc.
- Minimum 1 year of experience managing a team directly or indirectly (coaching underperformance, mentorship, training new hires etc.)
- Experience leading initiatives and/or managing operational metrics at program or org level
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and collaborating with partner teams (Ops, product, policy etc.)
- Knowledge of Quality auditing methodology and tools
- Proficiency in Excel (Pivots, VLOOKUP etc.)
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem solving skills and proven ability of managing multiple competing priorities
- Experience in seller facing risk functions (SEPO, SPR etc.).
- Experience managing multiple programs and driving high level process improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of Lean principles or DMAIC methodology will be an added advantage
