Visit our website to learn more!ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:Participate in requirements, design and functional specification reviews at varying levels within the systemAnalyze, design and develop software or software componentsManage a team to deliver products by proper task allocation, scope and timelines.Ability to conduct technical reviews and provide reasonable estimates.Practice software development methodology in an agile environmentValidate existing equations in new versions against previous versions and existing test data.Develop new geometry and heat transfer calculations for new product designs.Involve in reviewing C#/.net code to check for errors in calculations.Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platformsWorking closely with the internal and external design/development teams in identifying problemsCollaborate cross-functionally with business users, project managers and other engineersProvide recommendations for continuous improvementQUALIFICATIONA Master’s/Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Engineering MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS5 years of experience in the Heat transfer domain2 years of related software engineering experienceKnowledge of programming in VB.NET, C#.NET, T-SQL would be an added qualificationSolid work experience with SDL, software change management, continuous integration and automated build processesHeat transfer with specific focus on heat exchangers (dual stream, shell & tube, etc.).Programming experience is ideal especially with .net languages.Experience in Finite Element analysis calculationsApply calculation methods as described in the literatureHands on experience testing/debugging software and providing solutionsExperience in below mention languages and Frameworks.VB.NetC#.Net MS SQLServer JavaScript and any framework.Network programmingHTML 4 & 5 CSS Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate clearly and conciselySelf-driven, quick learner, results-oriented and a clear focus on high qualityMust be a good team playerGOOD TO HAVEExperience with aluminum bar and plate heat exchangers is a plus.Proficient with Agile development methodologies such as ScrumExperience in below mention languages and Frameworks.ASPMVC frameworkKnowledge on Railroad or Transportation domainOur Commitment to Embrace Diversity: Wabtec is a global company that invests not just in our products, but also our people by embracing diversity and inclusion.
