About the department

The Commercial Analytics team is part of Finance Global Business Services (GBS) at Novo Nordisk in Bangalore. Established in 2007, Finance GBS is responsible for supporting Accounting, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Commercial Analytics, Financial Planning & Analytics for Headquarters at Denmark, Region Europe, North America, International Operations & Global Service Centre Bangalore. The Commercial Analytics team was founded in June 2013 with the aim of providing dedicated analytics professionals to deliver best-in-class analytical services and insights to the global organization. Our team’s main purpose is to consistently provide superior service to our stakeholders and add value to processes in terms of standardization and efficiency.

The position

As an Associate Developer - Power BI, you will have the opportunity to:

Power BI dashboard development and maintenance - Power BI dashboard development and maintenance Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualize and present data in a clear and meaningful way. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data visualization needs and requirements. Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards using Power BI tools and features. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data in the dashboards by regularly updating and validating the underlying data sources.

Data visualization and reporting Transform complex data sets into visually compelling and easy-to-understand reports and visualizations. Identify and select appropriate data visualization techniques to effectively communicate insights and trends. Customize and format reports and visualizations to meet specific business needs and requirements. Regularly review and update existing reports and visualizations to ensure they remain relevant and impactful.

• Data analysis and insights generation Analyze large and complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and insights. Apply statistical and analytical techniques to extract meaningful information from the data.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop advanced analytical models and algorithms. Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and data-driven recommendation.
• Build subject knowledge during transitions to be able to drive projects independently. Understand business priorities and challenges to cater with CROP outcomes.
• Create insights through Marketing Mix Modelling and validate output. Present insights in BI dashboard and create key visuals for business.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to align on the priorities. Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
• Display an inclusive mindset and respect the diversity across team members. Ensure superior customer satisfaction by delivering high-end quality support.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Certifications in business intelligence tools like Power BI will be a plus.
• 6+ years of proficient experience in developing advanced visualization and dashboard designing from scratch with Power BI.
• Experience working with Amazon Redshift, Databricks, SQL database, and with Panel data.
• Ability to work on DAX studio and Power Apps, etc.
• Knowledge of the pharma industry and commercial projects will be a plus.
