Lilly Capability Center, India (LCCI) provides Information and Digital Services as part of LCCI’s broader strategy, to support current and future Information Technology needs across the enterprise. Tech@Lilly at LCCI is rapidly expanding and is now a critical component of Eli Lilly and Company’s global Tech@Lilly strategy.

This role is part Business Units Tech@Lilly LCCI will lead all aspects of Adobe technology,  delivery from LCCI and will report into Director Business Units Tech@Lilly at LCCI. The primary objective of this role is to own and ensure that LCCI Tech@Lilly is strongly positioned to manage end to end Adobe content transformation, scale existing services and to strategize, propose, develop, and operationalize new Tech@Lilly capabilities and services with a high degree of ownership, consistency, security/quality compliance, and scalability.

Job Description:

We are seeking an Adobe Architect with strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, project managers, and senior leadership. The ideal candidate can translate business requirements into technical solutions, create clear deliverables, and lead meetings. You should possess problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a willingness to stay current with Adobe emerging technologies. A strong portfolio showcasing full-stack development with customer focused web products experience is essential. Knowledge of Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Document Cloud, Adobe Creative Cloud, and experience with Generative AI are highly desirable. A commitment to ethical coding practices, continuous learning, and industry awareness is expected. You will be responsible for designing and implementing complex digital experiences by integrating Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), and microservices architecture, requiring expertise in creating seamless customer journeys across various touchpoints while leveraging the scalability and flexibility of microservices.

What You’ll Do:

• Create custom enterprise architectures and roadmaps to achieve defined digital transformation needs.
• Engage and evangelize your and team’s recommendations to executive and senior technical leadership teams.
• Recommend future state of the technology architecture across the organization.
• Understand the current state of the organization-wide architecture and experience and marketing capabilities.
• Identify key business drivers and technology capabilities required to achieve clients’ optimal state.
• Anticipate future technology requirements and communicate those to the client
• Work closely with and act as a liaison between key Adobe, business, and Tech @ Lilly team members.
• Ensure alignment between business strategies, information technology roadmap, and technical and tactical deployment teams.
• Define governance and operational models to support organisation’s technology goals and roadmap.
• Be the trusted advisor on the ground for technical leadership and stakeholders regarding digital experience technological maturity.
• Grow Adobe’s Enterprise Architecture Practice.
• Advertise the value of your role and work within the larger Adobe Consulting Group.
   

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture Design: Craft a comprehensive technical architecture that seamlessly integrates Edge Delivery service, AEM content management, AEP customer data, Workfront-Fusion integration, and microservices to deliver personalized, contextually relevant experiences across channels (web, mobile, etc.).

Microservices Integration: Design and develop microservices for specific functionalities like product search, cart management, payment processing, and user profile updates, ensuring efficient communication and data exchange between services.

AEM Implementation: Lead the implementation of AEM components, templates, and workflows to manage content creation, personalization, and delivery while considering integration points with AEP and eCommerce systems.

AEP Integration: Utilize AEP capabilities to collect, unify customer data across various sources, enabling real-time personalization and audience segmentation for targeted campaigns.

API Development: Develop RESTful APIs to facilitate data exchange between microservices, AEM, AEP, and eCommerce systems, adhering to API standards and best practices.

Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to development teams during implementation, ensuring alignment with the overall architecture and best practices for microservices development.

Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure scalability and fast response times.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in Architecture patterns, DevSecOps Implementation, Architecture Runway Development, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Adobe Technology Stack: AEM, AEP and corresponding capabilities for Pharma content management, customer data management, and personalization.
• Knowledge of digital marketing and experience solutions such as Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Workfront & Fusion, AEM App Builder, AEM Assets etc.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• RESTful API Development using technologies like JSON, Swagger, and API Gateway.
• Experience with headless Content Management System concepts and implementation
• Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, SOA, and API
• Understanding & experience with Microsoft Azure & Amazon AWS cloud architecture & services, Google Cloud and serverless architectures
• Strong back-end development skills with languages like Node.js, Java or Python.
• Experience with server-side technologies and frameworks (e.g., Spring, Express.js).
• Database expertise, including SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of RESTful and GraphQL APIs for building scalable and efficient applications.
• Version control using Git and collaboration platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
• Security awareness, including standard methodologies for securing web applications and data.
• Experience with AI, in particular Generative AI, is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
   

Professional Experience:

• Bachelor's or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A Master's or equivalent experience is a plus.
• 15+ years of relevant work experience in Digital Transformation with a strong Technical focus.
• Consistent record of developing full-stack applications in a professional setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in delivering end-to-end solutions, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies and the ability to work in multi-functional teams.
• Prior work on projects involving large-scale data processing, real-time systems, or Big Data technologies is advantageous.
• Knowledge of software development standard methodologies, including code reviews, testing (unit, integration, and automated testing), and documentation.
• Experience in architecting and designing scalable, resilient, customer centric systems.
• Experience working with software engineers, data architects, application developers & data scientists to plan out end-to-end solutions
• Project management skills to manage time and priorities effectively.
