Job Title                                             Accountant Associate – Knoll GL


General Purpose


Primarily Responsible for GL accounting, Reconciliation, Reporting. Support the Global Services Management and the ops lead in implementing strategic plans and objectives for the function that will enable the overall business plan to be achieved.


  • Support month end close process and partner with Finance to meet closing schedule deadlines
  • Complete accurate and timely daily, weekly, and general ledger accounts.
  • Reconciliation and accounting of Intercompany reconciliation, gather supporting documents (Multiple Entities)
  • Review & Run Weekly, Monthly reports.
  • Partner with internal departments regarding errors, trends, and issue resolution.
  • Good hands-on experience in JE preparation, Recurring entries, Concur entries, knowledge of Payroll and Lease payments reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of SOX documentation and have experience in assisting Audit team.
  • Document and update department procedures.
  • Assist various departments in accounting issues and queries.
  • Follow documentation retention policy to maintain accounting files.
  • Perform other Ad hoc reporting tasks.

Minimum Requirements                              


  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting / Finance
  • 4-6 years of experience in Accounting GL and Reconciliation
  • Experience in BPO/ Shared Service Preferable
  • Experience in ERP (Oracle preferred), MS Excel

Additional Essential Functions


  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels, by telephone and face-to-face
  • Computer skills – MS Office (Word, excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Flexible to work in shifts as required.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude to change and adaptable to meet new challenges
  • Self-motivated – able to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
  • Oracle experience/ knowledge is an advantage

  • Accuracy and quality of transaction processing
  • Adherence to timelines
  • Internal customer satisfaction
