 Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Accountant (AP SME) to join our GLBL BusSvcs - Grief, Validation & Reporting – ITP-Global Financial Services Division, Bangalore Team.


The incumbent is expected to manage, process, and optimizing accounts payable functions with a strong focus on intercompany transactions The AP SME will drive process improvements, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and collaborate closely with various teams across the organization to enhance intercompany and AP efficiencies.


The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore, KA-India


What you will do


Job Roles and Responsibilities


  • We are seeking a skilled AP SME with extensive intercompany knowledge to join our team.
  • This is a mid-senior role , requires expertise in managing, processing, and optimizing accounts payable functions with a strong focus on intercompany transactions
  • The AP SME will drive process improvements, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and collaborate closely with various teams across the organization to enhance intercompany and AP efficiencies

Accounts Payable Process Management:


  • Oversee end-to-end AP processes, including invoice processing, payment cycles, and reconciliation, ensuring timely and accurate execution

Intercompany Transaction Management:


  • Act as the primary point of contact for intercompany transactions, ensuring proper recording, reconciliation, and settlement in line with company policies and accounting standards.

Process Improvement:


  • Identify and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and reduce errors in the AP and intercompany areas.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Liaison:


  • Work closely with other finance and operational teams, including Treasury, General Ledger, and Regional Finance, to address issues and improve intercompany and AP alignment.

Compliance & Documentation:


  • Ensure AP and intercompany processes adhere to internal controls, SOX compliance, and local tax regulations. Maintain updated documentation and DTPs for processes and workflows

Issue Resolution:


  • Investigate and resolve any AP or intercompany discrepancies, including vendor disputes, mismatches, and unreconciled transactions.

Training & Development:


  • Provide guidance, training, and support to AP and cross-functional teams on best practices for intercompany transactions and AP processes.

Reporting & Analysis:


  • Prepare and analyse reports on AP metrics, intercompany balances, and payment performance, offering insights and recommendations for decision-making.

What you will have 


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Project management is an added advantage
  • Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of experience in accounts payable, with strong exposure to intercompany transactions. Prior experience in a large-sized organization is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Xsuite, Caps, SPM) and advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with intercompany and AP automation tools is beneficial.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of AP and intercompany processes, accounting principles, and compliance requirements, including tax implications for intercompany transactions.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Additional Qualifications: Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive approach to identifying process improvements and solving issues.
  • Open to Individual contributor roles as well as Team management.
