About this Job


The Tech & Durables industry relies on GfK for understanding emerging market trends for their growth strategy. The Director of Sales for GfK will provide global leading information services and products to our clients, mostly in the Tech & Durables industry. Our data offers comprehensive and timely information on market shares and category penetration, competitive sales volumes and insights into distribution, pricing, merchandising and promotion. By combining this detailed information with our professional consultative services, we offer valuable insights and expertise that help Tech & Durables brands and retailers improve their manufacturing, marketing, and sales decisions. The role will be working in the Sales team.


Responsibilities


Client Relationship Management


• Own the client relationship and lead the client engagement for the assigned accounts by having a strong understanding of their business priorities.


• Foster relationships across various levels and within various functions of the client organization namely CMI, Sales, Marketing to identify opportunities for incremental product/solution sales


• Build account plan together with client consulting team to list the business objectives of each client and identify GfK solutions that can help them achieve these objectives Business Development


• Provide relevant product solutions that answers client business issues/opportunities


• Develop a winning sales pitch for retaining current business and find ways to develop additional business


• Work on strategy and approach to win back lapsed clients / categories among the assigned set


• Launch and introduce new services in the market to drive adoption among assigned clients


• Build a strong pipeline through regular engagement with various functional teams at the client’s end


• Build positive image for GfK through active participation in professional associations and industry conferences/seminars


• Contribute to the short-term strategies and business plans for the growth of the business unit based on global, regional & local direction Financial Management


• Achieve key financial metrics: revenue, profitability, and cash collection, as well as other related business development objectives


• Ensure proper pricing and contracts are applied according to company's policies and guidelines


• Understand the company’s financial guidelines such as forecast and pipeline management


• Use sales technology and digital tools (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics) for efficient working by recording prospects, forecast pipeline and convert sales


• Monitor the actual financial performance against budget/forecast and ensure the implementation of actions that will lead to the achievement of the targets



Qualifications

Master’s degree or a Diploma in Marketing


• Minimum 7+ years’ experience in the Marketing, Business Development, Market Research, or in the consulting agencies


• Prior working experience with the Tech & Durables industry would be an added advantage


• Has knowledge of research techniques and methodologies


• Has strong analytical skills and business commercial acumen


• Impressive oral & written communication skills for engaging with clients, internal stakeholders, external partners etc.


• Open to learn new digital tools for sales and marketing
