Job Description

Job Overview:As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) at Bosch, you will play a crucial role in driving the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional, and innovative product development programs. You will collaborate with engineering, product management, and other key stakeholders to ensure that all technical aspects of the program are well-coordinated, risks are managed, and milestones are met. You will act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that both technical requirements and business objectives are met.Key Responsibilities:

Program Planning and Execution:

Define the technical scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines for each program or project.

Break down complex programs into manageable projects and tasks while keeping the larger vision intact.

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.

Ensure timely delivery of milestones and product features, while managing dependencies and risks across multiple teams.

Cross-Functional Team Coordination:

Act as the primary point of contact for technical teams, product management, and other business units.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, QA, operations, marketing, etc.) to ensure seamless integration and smooth execution.

Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment of business and technical goals.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks early on and proactively manage or mitigate them through detailed planning and collaboration.

Lead problem-solving efforts and troubleshoot issues that may arise during program execution.

Ensure that program changes and challenges are communicated effectively to leadership and stakeholders.

Process Improvement and Best Practices:

Introduce and enforce best practices for project management, engineering processes, and program execution.

Promote continuous improvement in workflows, tools, and communication practices.

Establish clear metrics and KPIs to track program success, including delivery timelines, quality, and budget adherence.

Technical Expertise and Oversight:

Leverage technical expertise to understand product requirements and guide teams to technical solutions.

Support technical decision-making and facilitate trade-offs between engineering, product, and business needs.

Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure that the program is aligned with current and future business needs.

Stakeholder Management and Reporting:

Prepare and deliver status reports, presentations, and updates to senior leadership, ensuring that program progress is communicated effectively.

Maintain clear documentation of program details, risks, dependencies, and decision-making processes.

Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure that their requirements are met within the scope of the program.

Budget and Resource Management:

Develop and track program budgets, ensuring resource allocation is aligned with priorities.

Ensure that teams are adequately resourced and that workloads are balanced to meet deadlines.



Qualifications

Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. A Master's degree or MBA is a plus. • Experience: o 5+ years of experience in technical program management or project management, preferably in a product development environment. o Experience managing cross-functional teams, including software development, hardware design, QA, and product management. o Strong background in engineering and a solid understanding of the product development lifecycle. o Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, etc.). • Skills: o Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. o Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex technical challenges. o Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day program execution. o Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a dynamic environment. o Knowledge of automotive, IoT, or other relevant industries (depending on Bosch’s business focus) is a plus. ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization with distributed teams. • Knowledge of Bosch’s products, platforms, or technologies (e.g., automotive systems, IoT, industrial automation, etc.). • PMP or similar certifications in project management.
